Hey! What does your handwriting look like? Show us!

This reminds me of those superb spoof collectibles adverts in Viz with the little form at the bottom aimed at senile old people. I remember one with space for your PIN number, a request for a 'sample signature' and a yes/no tickbox for 'do the staff at your bank know you by sight?' :D

Don't hold back people I was hoping for some views and insight on my poor excuse fro hand writing, MSB you can hold back a little;)

Oh sorry, OK then, it looks like a drunk dude wrote it in a mirror with his left hand while sitting on a paint mixer. I guess you've been buying your dope off Barry Kidston?

Yeah I'd go with that :D

Come on then I've shown you mine .....

So brilliant!

I am old so therefore had handwriting classes as part of the curriculum as a nipper. Proper inky pens were compulsory - as were paper with three lines rather than one (proper height and depth on curly bits is essential for readability dontcha know?). The handful of folks on here who've seen my actual handwriting these days can attest to my having rebelled against that somewhat in the intervening years...

No pics cos I can't do pics. Suffice to say you wouldn't be able to decipher it any better than I can...

Whatever shambles, I have heard that you are so cross eyed from smoking PV that you imagine those 2 extra lines either side of the normal lines.
In fact I seem to remember taking a snap of it here:

Handwriting! What a good idea for a thread. Since always typing, my hand writing has changed so much. I'll dig out some old uni notes or something and take a picture of then and now.

I remember being taught joined up writing at final year junior school, do they still do that?

What was that video that I used to copy from at school called...

The pencil that wrote sort of had a light on it. I was sure it was called like read and write?

(i'm an 80's baby)

Next up: Hey! What do your drugs look like? Show us!

funny you should say that .

i was clearing out my drug draw (prescription ones ) and their were 55 of the boxes that my moggy juice comes in & over 70 boxes of diaz i lost count easily 100 methadone bottles & 14 empty physeptone boxes i woulda taken a picture if i had a camera .

Tis not incriminating cos it was all prescribed

Heh, I remember copying letters, and how they joined to another from the blackboard. We had to repeat it over and over and over, then add them to words.

I did all of that and got battered for not getting it right, the church school was the worst much like Shambles describes, I'm not convinced I wasn't left handed as I picked a pencil first with my left hand bu at the time they "encouraged" you to use your right.

My writing is shameful and like I said I hold a pen like a left handed person, so if using an ink pen, which was compulsory at the church school my hand would be resting on the line I'd [its written so I'd have to have a piece of blotting paper to cover the line I'd just written which made i difficult to keep up and so my handwriting was worst as I got anxious and rushed it. I can see that now but obviously not then.

Its something I often mention and talked about in counselling, I don't mind people taking the piss out of it because its there in black and white and undeniably shit, I've even gone so far as to scan a form and then use Photoshop to type in the details.

I have gone back to an ink pen as I suffer RSI in my right hand a little, its probably related to a motorcycle accident but they can;t be sure so I can't use a normal mouse I use a track ball and that doesn't cause me the problem but I also cant right with a ballpoint for any time, I seem to pres to hard or something and my hand then aches really badly so ironically I use an ink pen again.

Now my writing is a scrawl of joined up capitals that even I have trouble reading, I use a computer more and more, I would never give anyone in my work place anything in my handwriting unless I really had to, if I cant get a soft copy then I have to painstakingly print in my very best printed capitals which takes an age.

Anything official is filled in by Mrs atm and I just sign....in fact didn't I sign a cheque the other day and I haven't sen her since ???;)
