Hehe nah I know what you mean
That pic doesn't do me justice - I'm a fuckin DJ SUPAH STAR usually :D
I usually make sure I've got the next track cued and then just dance about like a loony behind the desk
Yea I definitely am more of a producer who mixes rather than vice versa
I do enjoy mixing though, it's extremely useful when I'm too depressed / without inspiration to produce - Always cheers me up
Aww really? I fucking love mixing vinyl! The only reason I don't do it is because it would cost sooooo much to cut all my tracks I'd love to play to dubplate, nevermind the decks and a good mixer 8( Don't have the cash for that at all.
Unless I got signed to a lable that could promote me and had enough cash to fund said cutting of dubs, but the money aspect doesn't interest me
I'm happy just playing out tracks, and as long as the people infront of the soundsystem are dancing (which they were like mad at this gig ^_^ YAY!) then I'm more than happy
Don't require any cash for playing other than if getting there is really expensive and I don't want any extra cash ontop of that, just travel expenses
When it comes to mixing vinyl (well, even with waveforms) you end up needing to know the track's ebbs and flows, build-ups and drops etc. so you learn the track back to front
Satisfying in itself.
