So I have been trying to take a nice long break for a long long time! I started smoking about a year ago and I mean I would smoke for a few days than stop for a few weeks but once I got a job I just love to smoke!

Now, i think we have seen here a million times that because it is hard for me to stop doesnt mean I am an addict. I go to school, work, have a great social life and take care of my body. Smoking is like an activity for me but its that hyper boost. School i can focus better, Music is better and sleep is easy. Without weed I mean things are still fun, I can still focus and music is still sex but sleep is one of the main issues for me when I stop. i find i cant relax at night and I think to much or fiddle around because I dont feel comfy. So either I have always had this problem (I cant remember, LOL! ;) but i think I did... i know sometimes at least) or i just need da dankmazzta to come and put me to bed because I am so used to him.

Anyways my question is:

I really doubt I can take a break, my girlfriend lives with me and she loves to smoke. It is her stress reliever (she is taking all AP classes and will not settle for less than a 3.8 GPA...fuckin psycho) so she urges me to get some from my dad who lives down the hall and has bomb dank. lol

OKAY OKAY MY question now, really:

How do you guys lower your tolerance while still smoking? food, exercise and amount taken in? Maybe smoke every other day? i dunno. I know there are some of you like me but maybe you have figured out the trick and im just left out of the loop :(

Thanks! :)

keep your tolerance low by only smoking small amounts and only once or a few times a day. If you're smoking like a gram blunt in the morning then bowls throughout the day, then your tolerance will only go up. But if you keep it infrequent you can keep your tolerance low. Though in time it'll become more and more, but at a slower pace

The only way to obtain a lower tolerance is to smoke less, there is no way around that fact.

Doesn't sound like your ganja smoking is much of a problem though, I say blaze on brother :)

:)

Yea well I dont smoke crazy hardcore. Maybe a bowl with my girl at night (3 hits each and maybe some kiss swaps)

But i thought I totally messed it up when me and my buddy smoked 4 bowls really packed over an hour. So I just felt burnt out and when time came to smoke with my love I was just burnt. :(

Okay thanks! Ill keep it blazin!!!

:D yay!

Yeah man if you are mostly just smoking a little bit at the end of each night with your girl, you are already way ahead of the game..

If you smoke more than your used to in a short period of time your bound to feel a little burnt out later on in the day. Don't worry though, its normal and just one little binge won't throw off your tolerance too much (just don't make it a habit unless you do want a much higher tolerance down the line).

I just love the way you called it : da dankmazzta :D

I doubt you'll tolerance will increase that much if you smoke a bowl at night with your girl. Have fun :)

If you feel your tolerance is getting too high take a break for a few days and you'll be surprised how stoned you get when you toke up again

smoke less is most effective

but second most effective is smoking fewer times a day, even if its the same amount. for example, if im going to smoke 5 bowls a day, ill smoke them all within like 30 min of each other to keep tolerance low. if i spread them out im just kinda tipsy all day. and my tolerance is out of control.

Just a tips on timing, i went from daily to 3 or 4 days a week, my tolerance just hasnt been the same. Quit for 5 weeks to drop it massively, then limit yourself to 4 or 5 cones and have 3 or 4 days off a week. Normally when smoking every day i would have 4 cones before dinner, 2 after and then another 3 before going to bed.

Have fun

There is no way you can lower your tolerance while still smoking daily, and if you doubt that you can quit, you cannot quit.

if you dont WANT to quit, then you cant quit.

why you would want to quit weed is beyond me though. although you can beat tolerance even if you smoke constantly, just by switching strains regularly. If you keep smoking the same shit all the time, it doesnt matter how good it is it completely loses its appeal very quickly. variety is the spice of life, for body and mind.

exercising more often doesnt that make you sweat some of the thc out? im not sure but when i was working out and i smoke pretty constant, i dnt see that great effect on tolerance...so i cant say for definite of exercising and eating right does much...

There are plenty of reasons to quit weed. You might be spending a lot of money on it. You might be finding that it produces progressively fewer pleasurable effects and more negative ones. You might just not like being reliant on a psychoactive substance to enjoy yourself.

the biggest reason to not indulge is that the plant itself is illegal to a pretty extreme extent. example: 1.5 roaches (which weighed to 0.12g, and i still have no idea where the ".5" of a roach came from) landed me with 3 years probation, 3 months of substance abuse classes, and a criminal record associated with drugs that'll follow me around for quite a long time. then you have to consider what Yerg just said and... well...

still don't see why people might want to quit?

ehh more i see why people should hate the police/gov't

thats rough dude....

Pack yourself smaller bowls and smoke them slower, it does the trick for me. Could also try only smoking with other people

ahuh. coz we were really discussing jail here. also you live somewhere pretty harsh, i've been caught on multiple occasion with ounces on me and have no record or warnings or anything, both times they just confiscated my weed and said they were going to let it slide this time. so i dont see why i personally would want to quit.

if legality is an issue for you, and is a reason to NOT do things, then dont do them. i have no problem with that. for me personally, whether something is legal or not is not my major concern. im not stupid enough to go out and get caught with crap on me anymore, so i feel pretty secure about it all.

personally i just feel that if you TRULY WANTTTTTTTTTT to quit weed, you can, and very easily. the problem is the truly wanting to part.
