Bluelighter
how's it goin?
so. here's the story.
i'm an american BL'er, and over the past few years, especially the past few months, i've been getting more and more fed up about the decisions that our gov't is making, especially foreign policy-related decisions. we're getting progressively more and more censored here, we're committing more and more attrocities, and we're violating more and more human rights.
i just can't get behind that. i mean, in all reality, every can of soda that i buy, i pay taxes to support the american government, and my guilt is overwhelming.
so! i've decided that instead of continuing my passive lifetime dream of "someday" moving out of the country, i'm going to ACTIVELY attempt to move away from here. basically, i'm the opposite of "proud to be an american".
now, trying to be realistic, i understand that it's not the easiest thing in the world to immigrate. also, i'm a big fan of drugs. i'm going to need some friends wherever i go with ... similar interests. i immediately thought of bluelight!
so, fellow bluelighters. any amazing ideas? i've pretty much decided to change my major to journalism, because i think that the internet has created a completely different environment for journalism, and opened up a lot of opportunities. so i'd like to (ideally) begin attending journalism school. but more than anything, i'd like to go to journalism school ANYWHERE (within reason) but here. there's currently a crisis in american journalism, and that's something i'd like to eventually be able to affect, once i get through journalism school, because average americans arent made aware of the same things that are going on globally, or even in our own country, that the rest of the free world is. this is something that really gets to me, and i feel like we would be a different country if the people here were aware of what was actually going on.
ANYwho, that's a little bit about me. anybody wanna get married? hah. seriously though, i AM actually considering that as an easier option, since i'm not a skilled scientist or doctor or something. but i'd really appreciate your guys' help on this, being citizens of one of the places i'd really like to immigrate to, if i'm choosing. BL is a really great global community, and i feel like (for some bizarre reason - call me crazy) i can trust your opinions on serious things.
so, whaddaya think?
