Hey yall,

I guess I joined up to post about drugs and associated foolishness.

Since I've gove and spent so much of my life "researching" them, and re-searching again, thought I might like to post on the subject.

Hey oh, you got my what?!

Good to see you posting in Other Drugs, it's an important forum. Welcome to Bluelight :)

Thanks folks, for the welcome(s).

I'm glad a community like this exists, because you know, there is so much research and information about the use of certain drugs that either hasn't yet been done, or is unavailable to the average user... Especially when it comes to things like injecting pharmaceuticals!

I wrote out a big sample of questions here, to show where some of my interests lie. If you want to respond to any of them, and please do if you have anything interesting/relevant to say about anything I have written, feel free to copy/paste into the relevant forum and respond away!

I will surely be adding any that I can't find answers for soon enough, but for now I think this Dexedrine experiment is over! 38 hours is enough for me! Goodnight!

cont'd below....

Has anyone else out there ever wondered things like:

-What are the exact components of each type of pill, aside from the drug? Which of these components will make it through each type of filtration device available to the IV user? What are the effects of each of these "inert" ingredients on the users body, especially after long term repeated exposure?
Shouldn't this information, including exact amounts of various substances included in each particular type of pill, be easily obtainable given that millions of people trust using, and paying money for, these drugs in their prescribed fashion every single day?

--How long does it usually take to get chalk lung (pulmonary talcosis)? Which pills are the worst for causing it? Which are safest? Does it only happen to people who use the sort of pills that allow a ton of non-dissolved particulate matter through ( Ritalin, Dexedrine, talwin, etc.), or are people who use hydromorphone beads/4's and 8's, morphine beads and peelers, oxycontin, etc. at a very high risk as well?

--Are there other badass chronic conditions, cancer risks, etc. that most people who inject are also not aware of? Almost every addict I talk to has never even heard of chalk-lung... what other malevolent effects are we not aware of?

-Is there any truth to the "Methadone rots your bones and teeth" thing, or do all my middle age junkie pals just forget to brush their teeth often enough? Or is it because most of the guys who get on 'done end up trying to fill the void with a different drug, often crack, and it's actually the new drugs (or the behaviors they reinforce) that rot the teeth somehow? If it IS linked, what is actually happening in there? Will other opiates do it too?

--Have pharm. companies tried to utilize any sort of " anti-injection technology" in pills? Is that what the oval shaped morphines that turn to gel when cooked are an attempt to do? How about those Kadia morphine beads (an even nastier sort of gel, the technique with them is to "cold-cook" them, as the gel reacts to heat..)? Are these additives, or whatever technology they might be, more harmful, or less, to the body of the injection user?

--What does the adhesive goo on the fentanyl patches do to the people who inject those? That's some sort of polymer isn't it... can't be that good for you... does your body make it harmless and flush it out, or does it pull out an AK-47 on your liver/kidneys/heart/lungs etc.?
Or is it just some kind of "mostly" harmless protein or vegetable based substance?

WARNING: In case you are not aware, fentanyl is what, something like a thousand times more potent than heroin? A gram of this stuff could kill more than a hundred people, possibly several hundred... Please don't go and try to shoot your grandma's patch because you just got the idea from me! BAD IDEA! It's hard to tell just how much of the fentanyl you're getting in your piece of the patch (patches can be so strong that a single one will be divided amongst multiple opiate addicted people), and it kicks in fast. I've seen the most experienced dope-fiends overdo it and fall over blue from these...DANGEROUS! I myself avoid them, and I've got 15 years of this foolishness under my belt...

* interesting side note* - When a bunch of Chechen terrorists took over a Russian theatre or stadium a few years ago, the Russians decided to use a type of knockout gas, named something like KOLOKOL-1, to render the terrorists unconscious.
The gas had the unintended ( though possibly not unanticipated, those Ruskies are hard core...) effect of rendering well over one hundred of the hostages DEAD. "..OOPS!" The active ingredient of this gas is believed to be a powerful, fast acting fentanyl analogue called 3-methylfentanyl (I think, too lazy to look it up again right now, but it's definitely a fentanyl analogue.).

I suppose if I ever had to become collateral damage, that would be the preferred way of doing so...

--If Heroin actually turns into morphine molecules before entering the brain (H molecule too big to cross blood/brain barrier, so each splits into multiple morphs), why does a smash of down feel different than an equivalent dose of morphine?

(I haven't even looked for the answers to any of these on here yet, perhaps the answers are already here! I just wrote them here as an example of my style of curiosity, and to hopefully help to encourage others to ask their questions, and to provide their facts and theories. - In the correct forums, of course!)

....AND SO MANY MORE! I can't recall all the things I've wondered over the years... I mean, thousands, if not millions of people self medicate with various administration methods and with a plethora of different drugs. We have a right to this kind of information, whether the user is using the drug "as intended" or not! You try shooting some dilaudid and THEN tell me that's NOT how nature intended it be used...hehehe... Maybe just take my word for it if you're not already wired to opiates... no sense taking the chance of getting a new hard-drug addiction.

The companies may own the exact recipe of the pill, and even the formula for the drug itself... but how I help it find it's way to MY receptor sites is my province alone!

I don't think you'll get many replies to you post here in NMI. Try addressing some of these questions by using the advanced search feature. It's good, and there is tonnes of information here on Bluelight stored on our servers.

Interesting read :)
