Hey new here had a quick Percocet question

I just had knee surgery and I had a quick question, I got 5/325 OxyContin prescribed for the pain they're marked a349 anyone knows what type of release they are because I take 1 and it doesn't do anything for me and I'm afraid to take more if they're extended release.

Have you tried a site like drugs.com or pill identifier app. I have one on my phone and it works great. If it doesn't show up in the app I go to drugs site n it gives me all the info I need. Hop u feel better soon.

I have never seen a 5mg hydrocod in XR form. A quick search shows you have a generic percocet, nothing hinting that it might be extended release. Grapefruit juice or tonic water will help bump it up quite a bit, stay away from Tagament as a potentiator, caused some stomach issues (from personal experience)

Momma has great advice. Drugs.com has a pill identifier--I occasionally use it when I find a random pill in my house (usually a psych med I no longer take, boo, lol). There's also a great Interactions Checker.

Also, I take Percocet/Oxycodone for chronic pain, 10mg/325 APAP. There is a 5/325 Percocet as well as a 5 mg Percocet IR with no Tylenol... and there's also Extended Release. Best to check the Pill Identifer.

Also, ask your doctor but Ibuprofen is a great pain reliever if you take it on a dosage schedule (whatever mg and every # of hours). Ask your doctor, perhaps. The anti-inflammatory properties are also good, too.

A higher level Ibuprofen dosage is called Naprpxen. But ask your doctor, of course. NSAIDS aren't for everyone and this isn't medical advice - just personal experience from neck and back surgeries. It helped me heal and take a lower opiate dosage for pain coverage.
