Hey Lurkers!!!..this is your BIG chance!!

i guess i lurk more than i post. most days i visit i'll leave without having said a word but somedays i feel flippant or just plain bored and i'll post away here and there.
i like posting in 'new2xtc' and answering genuine, intelligent questions before some other idiot gets there and says something completely stupid and unhelpful. i cant keep up with the sheer volume of posts but so i normally stick with our good old aussie section.

i actually started a meetup thread a coupla weeks ago and failed to attend on the nite. so i think its back to lurking for a while as my foray into the spotlight was an misson failed.

once again the luuuuurrve goes out to all you guys. i'm sure i'll meet some of you eventually. i'm hoping the meetup at utopia@wonderland will b huge.
p.s if you havent seen the movie "human traffic" rent it ASAP. coz its one no Ehead should miss.

you guys shouldn't worry about getting threads moved, getting flamed or breaking etiquette.
If you've been lurking for a while you probably have a pretty good idea of whot's whot. And if you do something that needs correcting then people will just tell you, and mods will just move it, close it whatever. If someone flames you, don't worry about it, don't take it personally. People who flame are looked down on heaps more than people who do something which doesn't perfectly fit in.
If you have info to offer, or questions to ask the by all means do. If you do something 'wrong' you'll learn not to.
If you prefer to anonymously read, then of course feel free to continue. But any useful info (useful info can arise for a question you may need answered) is appreciated here. And any questions will be answered whenever possible.
The categories are not too hard to pick up. Just by reading current threads and threads that have been closed or moved, you can pick up whot goes where. Just remember to search first

Been so long since I posted that it took me 5 minutes to find the reply button (although this may have something to do with Jase's oddball font

I guess I no longer reply because I feel I've babbled about ecstasy and its extensive family of related activities more than any sane person should in a lifetime. I'm finally tongue tied on the subject!

have been around since the old bluelight and rarely post in this forum. pillcat - haven't seen you post since the paper you were presenting to ?? women's group, journalist's lunch -- have forgotten details.
had my son create bb using ubb for work purposes and now have 350 posts there in 3.5 weeks ( this was to break my bluelight addiction and get some work done instead ).
i hope johnboy will see it and be impressed.
must go to other bb and do some work -- am now addicted to work -- the more one does the more it seems to create.

Isn't it around the Melb Cup (Nov 6), that Oakie and Chicane are coming, Candyflip? Should I bump this to meetups anytime soon?

Hehe! xtcxtc, I'd forgotten that I did my final presentation at uni about ecstasy. I think I got quite a bad mark in the end. The actual address to my class went well, but the getting-myself-organised-enough-to-write-the-accompanying-essay bit was not quite as successful. In fact I think I handed it in about 2 months after I left uni, thereby not making a very good case for drug-takers being responsible, organised, upstanding members of the community, which was the basic premise for the essay. You can see why they may have been a little hesitant to reward me too richly.
I'm going through a very very very quiet time at work at the moment - our entire company is already pretending the olympics are on and doing zero work - so I might pop my head in here a bit more...
 
I have to say that i lurk here a lot - two reasons - 1) cos i am a drug and alcohol worker and find lots of up to date info here, and 2) cos it helps me and my friends not get ripped off when we go out on the weekends when we decide to be baaaad

eg the whole windmill thing? - after the perth drought we were HANGING - so i kept up to date via bluelight and when the windmills hit town i chased them like crazy - and what a wicked night we had

Been lurking about since the start of the year. It's about time I started posting a bit more and meeting some of you peeps.
 
Mr horse says I'm a full lurker.... But it's not like i dont post at times... i'm just SO lazy i prefer to just sit here and read everyone else's posts and get very amused
(you guys are great! *sob*) <-- that's not the drugs...
