I've been on and off these opiate forums for quite some time now, but I finally decided it was time I joined in and participated some...I'm 27, from Norman Oklahoma, and have been using opiates since I was 15. ...a little background info...I hav taken Xanax since the 9th grade due to PTSD and GAD caused by a physically abusive step-father I had from ages 6-12...I stopped taking Lexapra and Xanax in January of 2011...
..... I was sober(free from ANYTHING, including nicotine) from January 2011- August 2011, then I got into a trainwreck!(not literally lol, sorry) and started taking tabs and percsand opana due to a bulging disc and 2 ruptured discs in my lower lumbar...boy oh boy, I progressed faster than I ever have in my life., tried weening myself off of opiates for over 2 months but couldn't ever manage to STAY off of them fr more than around 3-5 days...
....so I decided to get on subutex...was on subutex for about 2-3weeks but still found myself craving opiates and still in withdraw(and was still trying to get high while on subutex, crazy I know)...after a long talk with my mom and younger sister(I'm 27), they decided that I should get back on methadone because everytime I have been on subutex It never holds me and I still have drug seeking behavior (lying, stealing, etc), BUT the 1 time I was on methadone I was doing better than before I was even using(I started using at age of 15, and was in rehab at ages 16, 18, and 21)....soooo that's my past in a nutshell! Been on MMT since last Monday, dose is currently at 55mg
