Does the Subutex 8 mg here have a B8 on it or an N8 + what's the colour of the pills?

Cheers, mr. ibis! WHat are the chances of myself getting a take-away package of this shit? I.e. 7 days worth? And I'm on a HCC, which means that i get the meds cheaper than other people?
 
^ Yeah the card should get you your meds cheaper, lucky bastard. ;)

The Poisons Information Center (13 11 26) I think can help out with this, at least I've seen them recommended for this sort of thing here on BL before.

Otherwise, you could call up a pharmacy and ask there, say that you found it in your dead grandparents house and were wondering what it is, if it needs to be disposed of. Of course taking it in for disposal might not happen... :)

Squiggle, i take it that you're actually doc shopping for OMT meds? rofl.

At the start, you won't get takeaways if the pharmacy is open on weekends. You don't get bupe cheaper with a HCC, it's $5 a day or $30 a week generally (i'm gonna quote prices here because this is standard no matter what the case). It's not dosed like normal meds - you're on a book, photo on file - and you sign in every day when you pick up your dose.

I thought you were all anti-heroin and shit? going on bupe because you use 'too much' codeine is retarded mate.
 
^ I have a friend on subs from DHC abuse. Seems a bit strange to me, anyone know if many people go onto OMT for codeine/DHC?
 
hey Mr. Ibis, don't be so pessimistic. And there are shit loads of reasons to change from codeine to bupe (i.e. liver damage/kidney damage from excessive use of NSAIDS with codeine contained in them...)!

I don't know how they do that shit down in Melbourne, Mr. Ibis, but up in Queensland we tend not to make assumptions about shit that we DO or DON'T know about what goes down in Melbourne, so you sir, are being rude. What's the difference, anyway?

And this is for a mate of mine...who is fucking up his liver with large doses of NSAIDS with codeine...on a daily basis...he doesn't know better.
 
Dude, what i'm saying is the pharmacist/script situation with bupe is a federally run program. The chemists operate in the same way, they adhere to a group of nationally recognized standards.

the PBS scheme is also federally recognized. All the pharmacies are supplied the medication free of charge and they charge the 'junkies' to dispense to them, because it makes the pharmacy look bad or whatever.

I'm not making assumptions, addicts i've talked to have the same thing in their states. I lived in QLD for some time also.

Tell your mate to go to a detox clinic for his codeine habit... That's the best option. They'll ween him down with benzos and stuff and let him rest. He'll be fine within the 10 days.
 
Also maybe teach your friend the CWE.

As for the PBS... if you are getting the bupe as part of a pain management thing, then it would be covered under the PBS. Otherwise I think it works as MrIBis has said.
 
Mr Ibis is correct, a HCC won't give you a discount on subutex / suboxone, regardless of what state you live in. The entire cost if offset by the PBS, meaning that all you'll have to pay is a dispensing fee to the pharmacy ($5 a day or so depending where you are).

If your habit is not that massive, getting onto bupe could be a terrible decision which you could come to regret in the future.

If you still want to know what they look like the subutex 8's r white and are oval shaped and if I can remeber correctly they have do have a 8 on them some where. They also have a line horizontally through the pill for halving. This is from memory from about 3-4 years ago from the ACT clinic at the hospital.
 
So Mr. Squiggle! u trying to detox off opiates or just looking for a way to get high? If u are i suggest u look in another direction as subbies arnt recreational. Im thinking of going to a detox place soon if the codeine comes to an end. Prob will choose methadone tho. Couldnt imagine myself goin cold turkey. Can say im hooked on oc's, morphine, H and codeine. When u choose these over pure molly, ice, acid and anything else its quite concerning and u know its very serious. I find that im not addicted to the drug itself per se but the lifestyle and feelings that comes with it. Makes tasks so much more enjoyable. I couldnt play computer games non opiated for an example:D
 
^Don't bother with done.. fucks sake.. how many people don't realize that..

methadone is horrible dude. People think you still get high off it, but after a week, it just turns you into a zombie... And also it doesn't last as long as bupe, so if oyu miss a dose - by god you pay for it.

Bupe you can miss a few days before any w/d hits you. Bupe is a wonder drug for depression and shit, im actually thinkin about goin back on the program
 
^^^ I would have to second Mr Ibis on the bupe vs done,

after being years on done I seriously was suicidal being a zombie that could only even crap once a week then after changing to bupe, I manged to wean of that in 2 years (still was very hard to even do that), but after some good rehab made it out and have been clean of any maintenice for 3.5 years running now because bupe was available.

The long lasting nature of it made life and keeping a job still possible for me, and combine with not being able to feel a shot of H properly worked well even tho sucks at the same time lol...
