The US is finally starting to put the pieces together. This is huge news for the effort to stop the war on drugs. Instead of arrests people would be put in treatment. FINALLY! Now it is not done yet but it is a HUGE step in the right direction.

Listen up Mass. bluelight members don't fuck this one up! lol
 
Pretty interesting. Try posting this in the "Drugs in the Media" forum. It might get a bit more attention and is less likely o get buried.

"Dropping charges as long as the addict immediately enrolls in a methadone program". Thats so backwards.

Seattle is even more progressive. Minor drug possession for any drug is decriminalized, just a referral to a case worker--no obligation beyond a short conversation (that can also be used as the basis for receiving social services, so it's not even a negative meeting).
