Hello everyone, this is my first post on this site and I have a question about withdrawal for my buddy, my friend is very nervous.
First a little background:
My friend was a heroin addict for 5-7 years, IV. He has been clean for 4 years. He has gone through all then worst withdrawals one can imagine. They were so bad that he never once successfully made it through to the end until he did a self detox with Methadone. Anyways, 2 days ago he scores some tar, bought some gear, and went to work. His intention was to get high for a couple days and then stop. Its been 2.5 days and he has taken 6 doses of about .1 grams (4 IV, 2 Snorted). He plans to take 1 more dose tonight then to stop for a period. He doesn't have a connection and has no leads on where to get more (this was done by design). He has been reading a lot on the web recently and has read that even though he will only use about a gram in a 72 hour period, he may still get some horrible heebie jeebies. This makes him appropriately nervous, he has never fared well against WD's.
I suppose he is looking for peace of mind that he will not end up in the hell that he has experienced before. Does anyone have any advice for him?
p.s. He is very familiar with H addiction, he would prefer not to discuss about his "life choices" regarding this matter. He appreciates any feedback.
