Possible afrer 3/4 weeks of smoking H every day?

Not had it for 2 or 3 days now and last night was horrible!

Started during the day at work, nose wouldn't stop running just felt down as hell all day then got home and felt weird so got in bed and then total insomnia couldn't sleep for shit just tossing and turning, felt like someone had turned my skin inside out and it was crawling.

Sharp pains in my muscles, hot then cold, hot then cold...

The only thing thats eased it is 40mg of Oxycodone about an hour ago, feel as though I can sleep now and feel a helluva lot better.

Are these physical withdrawal symptoms?

Yes, these of withdrawals you're experiencing. And heroin withdrawals can start pretty quickly and by smoking it everyday for three weeks or four you for sure are going to end up with withdrawal symptoms. Even someone who smokes heroin straight for a week will sometimes experience them. The longer you continue to do this of course the worse the withdrawals will be.

of course the best way to avoid this is dont smoke heroin, but you already know that.
Yes, those are withdrawal symptoms, i had a friend who would go about a day or 2 without dope, and then would come in to work sweating like a dog, and he explained to me how horrible dope sickness (sometimes called that) can be.
A possibility to help with this is something called Suboxone. Its to help get off dope eventually, but it basically is so that when u dont have heroin, you take that. Research it

I feel like crap, and I am not looking forward to another horrible sleepless night :(

Yeah I can just imagine well more than that I know how it feels... (Not for heroin but for oxy's). Shit sucks, stop while you're ahead it only goes downhill from here. Other than that hope you feel better, good luck <3

Dammmnnn it really is horrible.

It reminds me of a pipes comedown with the crawly skin feeling!

When are the feelings likely to subside? I had my last smoke on Wedsnesday and it's now Friday.

Going out on NYE aswell (tomorrow) and got some molly, will this affect it?

Usually after 72 hours it gets much better... Just stop with the heroin, especially everyday use! Unless you want to feel this way again but other than that it sucks now but just wait it out and it will get better.

Hmmm, I really think you should hold off on the molly. I mean high quality molly doesn't really give me a bad comedown but I don't think its the best idea to roll until after the withdrawals from heroin are over. Its too much stress on the body and I think its better to wait... I mean it shouldn't cause much of a big problem but do you really want to put your body through all of this in such a small time frame?

No not really and I see where you're coming from.

My mate wants to get a bag today, I'm tempted because I know then I'll be able to sleep tonight but then the whole cycle will start again won't it?

Yeah, you'll be able to sleep tonight but the cycle will begin again... Your body will still be use to the daily heroin use. So you could go cold turkey and wait it out (you'll feel much better) or you could get another bag and feel like shit again... I mean its up to you. I'm not trying to preach but the longer you use the harder the withdrawals will be and the harder it will be to quit. Getting another bag will help but only up until the bag is gone and your high has worn off then its back to feeling shitty.

FWIW:

Haven't been "proper" dope sick in a long time now, but I constantly have peaks and troughs due to other opiates. Regardless of how I'm feeling, if it's time to roll, it's time to roll. If you feel up to it, go for it. It's NYE! Just don't make a habit of it is all (though it's tougher to abuse mdma in the same sense as dope for sure).

I just wouldn't recommend rolling if you're in heavy withdrawal from opiates.

But yes, as other posters have said, the things you listed are physical WD symptoms. I hate the crawling-skin-cant-sleep aspect of WDs man, I know exactly where you're coming from there.

Very true, extremely heavy WD... good luck to you sir. Antioxidants and nutrition (and some exercise) is about all you can do (non-medically, or relapsing) to help the situation.

Good luck!

I have a set of rules I try my best to abide by. Never smoke more than 3 days in a row, preferably no more than two but definitely no more than 3. After those 2-3 days a 4 day break is needed to avoid starting a physical addiction. I myself am not very good at abiding by these rules, and I often end of slightly physically addicted, but they work.

I have, however, found a pretty good way to get rid of a physical addiction to opioids. If your maintenance opioid is methadone, you taper down to as little as 2mg. Certainly not more than 10 mg, unless you plan on switching to subutex at some point. Then you switch to codeine, I suggest 50-100mg, and taper further down. Even if you are unable to taper down the codeine, after having been on codeine for 1-2 weeks you should be able to kick it altogether at once without feeling much discomfort. As a matter of fact I just did this yesterday. I haven't taken codeine for more than 24 hours, and I feel fine. I used seroquel to help fall asleep. I have done this twice now, and it has worked both times. Personally I'm really sensitive to physical withdrawals, but even I find this to be a piece of cake.

I wish you good luck and happy new year to all :)

I've been on a roller coaster of opiate use/binges lately, pharmaceutical opioids (oxymorphone, bupe, morphine ect.) and iv heroin so I've been expiriencing my fair share of terrible w/ds lately. I've rolled while being somewhat dopesick and it made me way more anxious during the roll and the comedown from the MDMA + the opioid w/ds = all bad, definitely makes w/ds feel worse. It might be best to hold of on the molly until you feel your withdrawals have subsided.

ED: you mention anxiety leading to the dysphoria; would a benzo perhaps have helped this, in your opinion?

Just out of curiosity.

Benzos can be crucial during opioid w/ds IMO! High dosage of Diazepam for strong muscle relaxant properties and anxiolytic sedation, Clonazepam is the runner up. Alprazolam just doesn't last long enough for me, unless that is you're stocked up. Alprazolam has been of major help though, especially at night. Take 400mg of Tagamet about an hour or so before taking your benzo, makes the half-life stick around way longer and potentiates overall effects

I don't really agree with those rules, and I think it is still too much use if you plan on not being dependent. 2x a week is the most you should do if you don't want to become dependent.

Tapering works for some people, but after 3 weeks of use I don't think that the OP would need to taper much. Not that they may even have access to any of those drugs, but tapers can be tricky and can complicate things even more, and a lot of people find that going cold turkey and just getting it over with is the best way to go. Tapering seems to become just a lowered amount of use in between heavy binges, which is why I feel that getting over a cold turkey withdrawal makes you want to stay clean after it. I prefer a few bad days of cold turkey withdrawal over a drawn out mild withdrawal from tapering.

Yes you will experience withdrawal after 1 month of use. Definitely.

If you are in withdrawal I think it will make for a horrible ecstasy trip. Miserable.

If I were you Garageflower I would try to stop using heroin while you still can before it gets too late.
I am an addict and have been for over 10years now. I started using at weekends then midweek also then I got trapped like you will do if you don't stop.
I started going through withdrawl and having to take time off work cos I felt so sick. The only way to feel better was to score more gear, then withdraw again so had to score again.
Before you know it if you carry on like that you will end up with a full blown heroin habit.
Stop it now mate while you still got the chance and before you get in too deep.
