This is just a general question for heroin users who started out either sniffing or smoking heroin and eventually switched over to injecting. [sniffing particularly]
It seems that everyone I know who has made this switch (either here or in real life), regrets it. They have become so much more addicted, found quitting to be MUCH more difficult, hate the stigma attached to IV use, and wish they never made this "leap."
You may think that I am trying to justify IV use, trying to get someone to tell me that it "will be ok;" to put my mind at ease. Really, I am just generally curious about this. The only method of administration I have ever used for heroin is sniffing, have been doing so for a few months, and am pretty happy with it. I KNOW that it would make sense financially to switch to IV, but there are plenty of other reasons why I believe I should stick to insuffulation. I haven't made the switch ti IV, am not planning to, not even sure if I could (as in physically being able to carry out the action) but I would like to hear the stories from those who did.
