Heroin use increasing among suburban teens

Not surprising to me.... I am also a teen who has started using heroin... and I know many of other teens who use heroin as well and many who just started using it. It's not shocking to me though because dope has become much easier to get than marijuana in a lot of places around me which is so messed up (well a good thing when I'm wanting dope).
 
The more they crack down on prescription painkillers, the less people have that option so they consider heroin. That's what I've read here on bluelight anyways.
 
IME this is very old news! I had friends in highschool and who were even a few years older than me who were big into dope, and decades ago and even now if you want H around my area and probably everywhere else you can hypothetically get it. Prescription opiates like oxy were also just starting to get out of control then and people who I went to school with who weren't even regular drug users or known drug users like myself and others I knew had tried them.

Same thing with me (I'm clean 5 months and 3 weeks now). H is easier to cop than good bud. Plus who isn't reeled in with the promise that a bag of brown gets you a longer "better" high than your average dime bag. I'm 21 and started dope back in 09, its 2012 and I'm finally free from the rigs and shit.
 
Shiiiiiit dope exploded in my city in the 20s lol id say dope is far easier to get than oxy or other strong pks around here, its just white kids from the burbs who got big into oxy are now all strung out on dope bc its cheaper and plentiful not to mention way stronger. Bmore is pretty small as cities go, and the rate of heroin addiction is one of the worst in the country per capita. Sad really.

I only snort dope I have shot other drugs a few times (friends did it for me since I won't do it because I tend to shake sometimes).... Also I haven't shot in over a year though and don't plan on it. Who does though? But I know I won't and I can't even since the whole shaking thing and my veins are non-existant.

I think you should turn that string of words into a .jpeg and make it your desktop image. Hopefully for a reminder that you said it...

I have been seeing things get pretty intense lately. I live in Canada and got to know A LOT of hydromorphone and oxy addicts. Heroin was rarely heard of and when it was it was not as desired as oxy (due to being stomped so badly) Oxy went away and what was left went up to $1-$1.25 per mg!!!! hydromorphone prices skyrocketed and I am sure we will soon see studies stating the massive flux of young people checking into methadone clinics. Short of the overpriced oxy and hydromorphone there has been a lot of fentanyl, because it is somewhat cheap still and can be used by people getting piss tested at the meth clinic. I visited my home town last week and went for a walk to the store. I saw an empty fent patch blowing around like a tumbleweed... This is becoming pretty regular, like mcdonalds garbage within the 1 block radius of a mcdonalds.

Heroin is now readily available. I went through all of high school hunting down EVERY drug I could find and damn did I find almost all of them. If I wanted meth in grade ten I could get it, coke, crack, percocets (contin blew up near the end of high school for me) ketamine, GHB, any RC (sold on the street, not by me) DMT, LSD, Molly, pure MDA etc. EVERYTHING! BUT, I never heard of heroin, even the people that would shoot an oxy 80 mixed with 250mg of good coke had never seen heroin.

It is 7am where I am right now. I could have a point of heroin in 20 minutes if I want. If it was currently 4am... I could say the same thing. If it was christmas morning and a large alien mothership was hovering over my town I could have a bag of smack in the time it takes (and same amount of effort) to make bacon and eggs.
 
^I want to live where you do mate. Our dealers would no way be awake and selling at 7am let alone 4am, lazy bastards.
 
OP oxys thats what happened.

Everyone was living in a fairy tale world thinking by adding an anti-abuse coating to OCs people would just stop using.

Im sure Roxi manufactuers dont care, or any dope dealer.

Yeah I was addicted to OC's 80's and the shit was always pretty expensive and that's why I sold drugs to get money for my addiction. This was when I was a sophomore to a senior in high school. I got clean part of the senior year though but then just started using roxicodone near the end any ways which didn't help that much. Got clean again but ended up using dope because there was no way I was going to sell drugs again and I didn't even have any money coming in at the time but I did manage to get a job back in october but all I've been doing is still dope/roxicodone. I won't ever touch Oxycontin again except when I got some OP's for free from this rich crackhead I'm friends with. His dad always gives him money just for nothing.

I'm really not worried about IV use because even through all the bad times where I was really sick I didn't resort to it. I also said I shake a lot because I am hypoglycemic... I don't think I could even shoot myself up unless I tried hard but I would be afraid of missing my shots all the time or going through the vein because I slipped. I've only been shot up by my friends with morphine, hydromorphone and oxymorphone.... I seriously don't think I can shoot up dope though. I haven't been using as frequently either and if I do become dependent on dope more than chipping I probably will end up trying to get some help because mentally I don't think I can do it anymore... Like the whole drugs being my main priority in life.

In the end I should just quit dope though before it's too late since it always ends up being too late before you know it.

And yeah I can get heroin anytime of the day or night as long as I have a way to get where I need to be. The last time I was with someone we both went to go get dope at like 4 something in the morning and the dealer woke up to hand us the bags even right outside their house. Crazy but it happened and other dealers let me pick up from them late in the morning as well.
 
i live right outside of chicago and when i started using heroin, all the addicts i knew were middle-upper class..hell tbh you had to at least be middle class to afford a heroin habit and most of the addicts i knew were wealthy..well they were when they started out lol...

only rarely did we ever go into chicago to buy dope..our dealers dealt with us personally, we call them, we meet up, deal is done..i would hate to have to go and cop dope on street corners 2-3 times a day...
