Heroin storage and Quality

So my question is about storing heroin and its quality degrading.

I have east coast dope. Specifically philadelphia and its in wax bags and then put in small zip lock bags. That's how it is and my question is if I put these bags in my drawer under clothes so they gonna be in a dry place how long before the quality begins to degrade. No water or moisture nothin like that. How long will they last?

Heroin is subject to degradation by oxidation, photodegradation, as well as hydrolysis (whose products are monoacetylmorphine and morphine). In the case of heroin, oxidation is the prime cause of degradation, and oxidation can be reduced by removing the oxygen and decreasing the temperature. Photodegradation is reduced by removing the light. And hydrolisis is reduced by reducing the air humidity.

In a nutshell that means you should store it at a cool, dry, dark place, preferrably vaccum packed. If you do that, there might be a small loss in strength over the next year or two, but not much. Storing it a few weeks or months is really not a problem.

I've found old bags of H that were years old.. and it was fine. Ha. It takes a very long time for any noticeable degradation to occur. It happens faster when it is in a solution.
