Heroin ROA

Which ROA do You Use for Heroin?

Started with smoking the heroin, which was disappointing after 160mgs of OxyContin a day. Discovered sniffing it (the experience of sniffing BTH is very unpleasant, but it is quite effective) and learned to love the high. Finally tried the needle and actually wasn't all that impressed. The initial shots are out of this world, but after a while your veins start to hide from you and your extremities begin to resemble a pincushion. My preferred ROA for drugs is definitely Oral Consumption (outside of a hospital IV setting with pharm grade stuff).

I've yet to insufflate high quality Heroin # 4, that would be high up on my list. And I'd definitely pick up a needle if I had some liquid Hydromorphone and/or Temazepam

What about the whole procedure?It's like a "ceremony" really,preparing the joint for example can be very nice and make your experience even better.
I don't know how men like plugging things in their asses,i would never do that :(

Lining up your Heroin, prepping the shot, thinking about which corner of the foil you want to start from, etc are all "ceremony" like procedures to many people; plugging is no different, only the region where the drug is going is different.
I don't know how men like plugging things in their asses,i would never do that :(

By this I take it youre associating rectal drug administration with homosexuality; gay or not, its completely irrelevant to the point of plugging. I personally wouldnt dose a drug rectally, simply because all other ROAs satisfy me enough, but I absolutely recognize that with certain substances it can lead to amazing experiences.

I didn't say it's gay,i just said it's disturbing to think,to me of course
 
I like to snort my h, in the past I have smoked it and I just find this ROA to be vastly inferior when it comes to #4 gear. If I were to come across any #2 or BTH then I would imagine I would smoke it over snorting it but here in Melbourne it is pretty much all #4. I don't use needles so have not IV'd it.
 
I snort my dope. Could have shot it numerous of times because I've been offered shots... but I'm not about that life. My veins aren't that visible anyways and doctors always have a hard time finding my veins. They always use my hands... sometimes they get a good vein in the crook of my arm. However, its usually my hands or even my wrist (hurts bruises). I also am hypoglycemic and I couldn't imagine shooting up with how I shake sometimes. I have been shot up with morphine and hydromorphone before though, but that was assisted.

"That life" ? It's not all that different. I sniffed dope for a long time, and then I began shooting it, and I can honestly and sincerely say that nothing has changed -- not the amount of dope we use, not the frequency of use, nothing.

We have to buy needles now whereas before all we needed was a straw, and we make sure to always have a bottle of clean water with us and a couple of cottons, but other than those things, making the switch from intranasal to intravenous hasn't changed anything.

my needle exchange literally just gives me boxes of free rigs, cookers, torniquets, sterile water, alcohol pads, hell they even gave me a vial of naloxone.

I wasn't being entirely serious and I was high as shit when I wrote that. What I meant is the whole needle thing. I don't like it. Its easier for you to fuck up/relapse. Its harder to not use in my opinion... once you use needles. At least when I snort... I'm not addicted to that ritual in itself. I am addicted to heroin... I can imagine using needles all the time and ending up addicted to the needle alone. Anyways I'm high right now... so I'm probably not making sense. I just am not about the needle lifestyle. My body also isn't really that great for needles anyways... my veins aren't even that visible. Its weird. And if I could only shootbup in my hands or wrists then it would be soooo bad.

I hear you, and you definitely have a point; in some ways I feel that it is easier for one to fuck up when they're shooting it by either doing too much or by hitting an artery or something screwed up like that.

I'm not addicted to the needle ritual, however, and that I can also say with sincerity. I don't love the ritual of shooting up, and I actually much prefer whatever sniffing "rituals" there may be such as dropping the straw into the bag. (I called them "milkshakes.") I also liked chopping it up into lines... but the needle? It's just an effective method, and one that I now choose over the other ROAs because of its increased bioavailability and such.

But I think that I must be lucky in some ways because the amount that I use has not increased; I have seen people who begin shooting dope and before you know it they're shooting 3, 4, 5 bags at a time... I have yet to shoot more than 2 bags at a time, and that is after shooting up for some, what, 6, 7, 8 months now?
