--"jgrillz",
I have actually asked the same question a few times in various forums and threads, only to get the same responses you've gotten here, none of which actually address the question. (I.e. ; "do small bumps until you're high" or "you need a lab etc..." )
Doing small bumps is a good way to dose safely, but doesn't provide any info on purity, and saying a lab is needed WOULD be an ok answer, IF one where to mention--just generally, what equipment found in a lab would be needed...
IDK the answer, but there are so many simple teks for testing cocaine purity, such as the bleach test, melting/burning point test, weighing the initial HCL sample, converting to freebase and weighing resulting product, even just dropping some cocaine HCL in water is somewhat helpful. With all those teks, one must think that an equally simple test can be done with heroin, even if it just results in a very general estimate.
IMO, if one has powdered heroin, seeing how much of the sample dissolves in water is ones best option. BUT, just b/c IDK of any other methods, I simply cannot believe that there isn't a relatively simple way to very generally gauge the purity of heroin.
And if anyone out there knows/thinks, that a lab IS absolutely needed, then please explain why that is? What equipment from a lab would a person need? (and what kind of lab are we talking about here...?) Obviously a mas spec (sic?) or w/e would work, but for those who say "lab required", is there anything else you can mention....even just generally speaking?
