Opioids Heroin / oxy cross tolerance?

As many of you can attest to I'm sure, my opiate use went from oxycodone to heroin. Now, I had nearly 15 months off the oxy before I started using heroin. I last heavily used oxy in January 2010(smoking, roughly 200MG daily, now I know smoking must cut that at least by 60%? So my daily intake must have been somewhere between 80-90 mg actually)
Fast forward to may of this year and I started smoking tar, about 20 $ worth daily.
I quit the tar and will have three weeks off it this Sunday.

Now my question here relates to opiate tolerance. Now I know when I got bak into the opiate game, I had some lingering tolerance from 15 months prior? Ie I popped 30 MG of hydrocodone and was not nearly as high as had I popped that before I was using 200mg oxy a day.

So my question here is how does opiate tolerance work? Particulary, I came upon 50mg oxycodone (not containing apap) tonight nd want to get that good old oxy nod I miss so dearly. Would my heroin use ending 3 weeks ago impact my tolerance to oxycodone currently? Would my oxycodone use ending January 2010 impact any current usage?

Also I'm thinking orally ingesting 35 mg oxy and when I start to feel it I intend to snort the remaining 15. Now I know that's not the most efficient way, but I miss snorting oxy and getting that feeling...

Don't feel bad snorting oxy... I'd do exactly like you're doing and eat and snort it if I wanted to get noddy. Anyway, there's no telling how much heroin you were doing relative to oxy, but it will have some impact on your tolerance. Your tolerance is not nearly what it would have been from your usage back in 2010 but tolerance does not ever completely reset. Still, if you felt 30mg hydrocodone somewhat, that's equal to about 20mg oxycodone (taken orally) and you should be able to get full effects from just a little more.

Well I just swallowed 40 MG oxy...well see how I feel haha.
well the 30MG hydro was before I got into tar..its exactly what led me to it haha.
Well yesterday I did 42.5 MG hydro and got a pretty good high. Now it wasn't overwhelming by any means, but I was certainly feeling euphoric and even had slight ...not exactly nods but moments of spacing out.

I have always been under the impression heroin will damage your receptors more making you need more of "weaker" opiates (less affinity?). I dnt know. I'm bad at science n shit.

if I were you I would eat some pills and chase that tar.

^Heroin is just another opiate, pretty damn similar to morphine (exactly the same drug if you eat it). If anything about it makes your tolerance rise faster, it is the concentration of the stuff you are getting compared to the strength of the pills you are taking.

True, which makes it almost impossible to know how many mg of diamorphine I was actually getting. One could get a pretty good idea about where I live from my user name (hopefully saying that's not breaking any rules I'll get bitched at for?) and here we just have usual, shit tar. I'd guess 30-40%.

Skagreggae...I can't do tar anymore..It's way to cheap and way to easy for me to Get. It spirals out of control fast. Plus I have 3 weeks off. When I was actively addicted,
3 weeks seemed unfathomable. That's am accomplishment for me I'm proud of and am not going back..

I know usually people doing heroin like it better than pills but is this because of pricing & if you afford an endless amount of pills, would you keep doing them or still move on to heroin?

If I had an endless supply of original purdue OC 80's and an unlimited supply of heroin I'd take the OC 8 times out of 10 over the heroin. Much more euphoric in my opinion..


Just an update, I'm definitely feeling that oxy feeling but am worried it already peaked :/ it crept up...decided to pop one of my two remaining 5's and rail the other. I took the 40mg around 11:15..well see how the rest of the night goes, hopefully it keeps building
