Also I don't know about you, but any drug I do makes me want a cigarette(drinking especially). That is why its so hard for me to quit smoking. I feel like I would need to quit everything else first.
I feel the same way, everything else just makes me wish I had a cigarette. I've quit and gone back to them three times now, and I always slipped up because I went to a bar or something. One night turned into two, then into a week...so on and so forth.
I've also noted the increase in pleasure when an opiate and nicotine are combined, same with alcohol and cannabis as well. I always assumed it was like that for two reasons;
1) As noted by others, it does release chemicals into your system that make you feel good.
2) Its a habit, doing the habit makes me feel good. Its the same thing with ROAs, I know snorting certain substances is a waste but just the whole act of crushing a pill up and tooting it brings on instant pleasure. Its like a fetish.
I also go through more cigarettes when I'm high on opiates, most people I know are the same way. Limiting myself is useless, if they're around I'm going to smoke them, so I just enjoy and lay off the next day to even things out and save some extra cash.
One odd thing to note about cannabis + nicotine: I get a "rush" about half way through the cigarette and get
very stoned for about 15-30 minutes afterwards, then at that point, the high is diminished and I feel the need to toke again. If I don't smoke a cigarette after toking the high isn't as intense but it lasts a lot longer. The local friends report similar happenings. Anyone else feel that way with cannabis or other drugs when combined with nicotine?
