Put me down as one person who has tested heroin on a marquis test. Truth be told it was my normal dope I just had the kit and wanted to see pink instead of purple green or yellow.
I hate when junkies die and people act like its not a big deal. That was someone's something, child and fellow human with emotions and feelings if nothing else. It is a tragedy how we treat each-other.
You got that right.
It finally happened in my life: Last weekend, a friend of mine died of a heroin OD, the first person I have ever known to die that way. It has hit me like a ton of bricks, and her family, (sister, brother, mom, and most tragic of all, her little girl), are beyond devastated. I have to go to her funeral tomorrow, and I am dreading it. Oddly enough, I had heard on the news a couple of weeks ago about some heroin going around here, out of Pittsburgh, which has been responsible for a lot of OD deaths. The authorities suspect it's cut with something like fenynal. I told her sister about it so she could warn her, and a couple days later, she died. Her sister was there when she ODd and was the one to call 911, but she said her sister was gone in two minutes; by the time the paramedics got there, it was all over. I don't have any proof it was that fentynal cut H, but the way she died so fast, it certainly seems like a good possibility.
I don't use H, and truthfully, this girl is the only person I know who did, but I am outraged that this dangerous dope is out there, people are dying, and it can all be attributed to our dear friend, "The War On Drugs." I wonder if, in my lifetime, drugs will be decriminalized, safe, readily available in secure settings? Hmmm. Maybe in my son's lifetime. And then, maybe the deaths and wasted lives will be curtailed.
