heroin lingo

I've only used once and would like to again. Knowing that there are definite sources in my area, I'd like to know what "terms" to use in approaching certain individuals. Some Spanish "terms" would be helpful. My only source is very rare and not always reliable.

diacetylmorphine, heroin, dope, junk, smack, skag, h, horse, harry, etc....
heroin in spanish is very similar to heroin in english, even if the dealer doesnt speak spanish he'll probably understand "heroin"

Most mexican smack runners refer to it as Chiva (pronounced cheeba) from my experience.
AT least around my parts.

Wow, honest to god where I live chiva/cheeba is marijuana.
Remember in Big Daddy, where Adam Sandler asks the little kids if they are "puffin' the chiva". I've only heard of it as weed before.
Interesting how far slang can differ

If they are from south america, central america, or mexico, call the heroin Manteca (mon-tay-ga), I am not sure of the spelling but I am sure of how to say it. Trust me, say something like "hey you know where I can score some manteca dog". but be careful, when you deal with hard drugs, you deal with hard people.

Chiva in the bay area. Maybe all over the west cost...never coke heroin only crack in LA. I would guess the Dr. is from the same general area.
In my experience heroin is heroin. Whether your dealer calls it Her-O-in (I can't speel that) chiva or whatever he probably knows what heroin is. IMO its worse to use the wrong slang than none at all.
Go around asking for some 'harry' and you will probably be laughed off the street corner.
