Heroin IV Problems

should i continue to warm it up and massage it?

You should do as others have said.

Then get someone to show you how to hit. because you are missing it and the stuff is basically rotting inside you as bacteria eat away. The good news is it sounds like you survived the first one and seem likely to survive the second. Soon your luck will run out.

there could be several reasons. first off are you using new needles each shot? Alcohol swabs? swab cooker too? when you inject do you see a lump forming as you push the plunger? Do you move the point after you register?

Maybe you have deep veins that are hard to see.

Not sure but I seriously think you should try to be more careful.

should i go to my regular family doctor or just go to the hospital ER?

can other drugs besides H cause this?

it never felt like i was missing. i don't know what it feels like injecting other drugs when you miss. but when i miss with h it tends to hurt like hell and this didn't seem to happen.

i think i'll try to visit my family doctor tomorrow and if i can't get in then i will take a trip over to the hospital.

Seriously man suck it up and go to the hospital. I have been IVing dope for a year now and a couple months ago my arms looked like a fucking mess with hard lumps and bruises all up and down from my backhands to my biceps.

One morning I woke up with an extremely stiff neck and I had just thought I slept on it weird. Throughout the day it got worse and worse with the pain in the back of my neck spreading to the back of my head. I decided to call a doctor (I thought it was tetanus at first) and she just told me to take Advil and wait it out but to go right to the ER if it got worse.

The next morning I wanted to fucking die. The pain was almost unbearable and I had to have my mother drive me to the ER. I waited for almost 4 hours in probably the worst pain I've ever felt until a doctor would even see me. They took one look at my arms and put me on antibiotics right away and began to drain an exceptionally large lump in my right forearm.

They actually went through a number of other tests like a neck/head cat scan, meningitis test, spinal tap, etc until i just up and told them. They told me I most certainly could have died if i hadn't of come in when i did.

Now I ain't gonna lie, im still a full fledged piece of shit dope addict, but an alive one at that...and thats the truth.

so go to the ER tomorrow? my friend went to the hospital last week after a bad miss. they said it was hemotoma or something related with damaged body tissue and told him to just ice it and heat it and massage it, and he had similar effects to mine. could this be the case or does everyone really think i have an abcess? should i tell the doctor what's really up?

Well I mean is your arm actually getting progressively worse and worse? I didn't mean to scare you with my post but only you can gauge how serious it looks. I mean I've had lumps that hurt and ache my arm for maybe a week or two and then they go away. Are you in serious pain at all or is it more of a ache. I posted what I posted because I don't want to see you get hurt bro, but I don't think you need to spill the beans if it's not serious.

it's more of an ache than anything. it only hurts when i seem to extend my arm or apply any pressure to the muscles. the lump is still there, hard and hurts when i touch it gently, but other than that it looks good besides a minor bruising starting to occur. i think i'll go to the ER today.

well i don't think i have an abcess. the advice nurse told me just to use cold compress on it. it seems to be getting better.

I had this exact same thing happen to me. I couldn't move my arm for a week it hurt so bad. I went to the doctor's and they did nothing but give me a script of like 10 darvocets.

Luckily what I had was nothing, it went away by the end of the week but I still went to the hospital. Still, not every case is the same, better safe than sorry. I still don't regret my decision and the 4 hours I waited on night before an exam.

I'd say go to the doctor, for sure, if the pain spreads or it persists for more than a week without getting better.

it didn't hurt. my arm doesn't hurt anymore. just the bump is still present and rash like spots have appeared in blotches near my injection site. someone told me it WAS A LEAKY VAIN? ANY INFO ON THIS?
