i read a few threads about heroin, and i remembered the"ecstasy pills laced with/made of heroin" myth - we all know there are many, many true drug war soldiers, both independent and government based who have lots of ideas, resources, time and supporters. i wonder why they don't press heroin pills and send them to dancesafe and other pill testing places? i know this sounds kinda weird, but it seems like a valid question to me. we all know they come up with the most obscure, deceptive bullshit - how come this hasn't come to their mind yet?

The percentage of pill takers who actually care what is in their pills or reads BL/Erowid/PR/ED etc is probably so small it wouldn't be worth their time. Even people like the DEA still perpetuate the idea heroin is found in pills (see shown by the documentry 2 weeks ago), so its only us and the small number of people who know but don't visit online places who actually keep up the truth that its BS.
On another website I visit (non-drug friendly) one of the posters is a forensics policeman here in the UK and thankfully he also says there's no heroin in pills. Often people don't beleive me (even after sighting other websites) until he confirms it because "I'm a junkie" 8)

I'll tell you this. I have used H big time before and can honestly tell you that any of the "smacky" rolls you have heard about compare NOTHING to real smack. I don't know why they are called smacky... I just hear that term come from people who never touched smack to begin with... I think it is more a term to describe how the E is rather than a real reference to having "smack" in the pill. Just like saying you feel "cracked out" doesn't imply you just smoked any crack first.
Also, it is very true about these things concerning heroin: a typical dose in the southeast USA costs $30 which is for 100mg, usually cut with something, maybe 70 percent pure at best. But still, this is what is typical in my region. This is a good dose for one person. Take 100mg of street heroin that costs $30 to dose someone (IV use -- heroin is NOT active orally!!) and it makes NO sense to put this in a pill. Less than this would not be a dose that you could feel, even if shot up. And counting in that you can't feel heroin by eating it, and it makes using H as a pill filler even more of a joke.
Even if you were a dealer who got smack at low dealer bulk cost, the price of using it in a pill would be too high to justify using it at all! The better filler would be DXM, which as a powder is 1) able to be felt 2) is cheap.
I have read once in history that there was a pill turned into Dancesafe.org that had heroin in it. The pill was poorly pressed and also had fluoxetine (PROZAC!) and asperin in it. This makes you wonder. Why would a pill be pressed to have heroin prozac and asperin in it? What an odd combination! It makes you wonder if it was a joke? Sent in to Dancesafe.org just for fun? So strange!
But that is the only time I ever heard any credibility to this myth. The better thing to do if you were going to pack an opiate into a pill would be to crush up other opiate pills, like oxycontin or percodans or something. But with oxycontins (pure oxycodone with filler) being usually 50 Cents per mg (10mg for $5), it makes it ludicrous to use as a filler either, even though it would be felt orally and might be easier used in pill form (moreso than heroin, yikes)! The cost to justify this is just what answers your question.
Only an idiot would waste money using any opiate to press with any ecstasy tab. If you want to get the opiate warm buzz, the cheapest way to go would to buy hydrocodone pills at $1 pill for vicodin or lortabs, and eat upwards of 5 or 10 depending on your tolerance (mine is super high). Anything more than 10 would be impossible since the tylenol in the pills would make you sick!!! Very sick! But hydros are the cheapest opiate pill out there (okay, codeine is, but a complete waste of time imho) but always have tylenol in them. So this is off on a tangent, but just the only way I can think of to get any sort of true opiate buzz with a tab of E... to take them separately. Combining them into only pill would be impossible because it would have too low quantities of either in it to be worth the effort.

The only reason you would put heroin in pills since you can't eat them to feel the heroin is if you snort your pills. People who crush and use E could essentially use heroin by snorting a pill that contained it.
However, go back to the $30 for a good dose ($20 in cities -- $30 is expensive, true, but even $20/dose at a better price is still too much to be cost effective) of heroin, then think that a dose for IV use (which I think means that you need twice as much to snort to get the same high), and a dose being about 1/10 g (or 100mg), then your E pill would need 100-150mg MDMA to be a good pill, along with the smack at 100mg (ideally 200mg), and you would have this huge triple stack pressed pill thing. Huge! But still way too expensive to make. And you could ONLY SNORT IT. So imagine selling it. You'd have to tell everyone to crush it and snort it. Those that don't do that won't feel the heroin. Thus it would be a waste to the majority of those that dosed it. So a waste of a drug and a waste of money answers that question.

I did read the posts. I think what I said was new information to the topic. I was answering the original posted question as to the reason why it is not common: it would be silly and a waste of money.

Erm that's not the point that infinity is trying to make. He's trying to say, irresepective of cost or effectiveness, why the government doesn't actually make pills containing heroin and MDXX so that it fuels the heroin-in-pills rumour.
It would certainly be a decent way to try and stop people using them -- if people thought there was a decent chance of getting heroin in their pills, a lot of people simply wouldn't buy them.
It has nothing to do with effectiveness or cost - it's a psychological trick to make people less sure about what they're taking.

basically i was just referring to a submission to dancesafe and other agencies, not even bringing them in circulation. i'd even say pressing 10 of them would do. i was quite surprised when i saw that heroin pill pic on ecstasydata today - looks JUST what i meant (although i am surprised that the pill is looking so crappy, it seems a bit obvious to me), funny never actually checked out that one pill with heroin in it..
