Have thought about IVing a few times but I know all too well that it's just a downward descent into badness.

I'm rather suprised that I've not done actually, though that can only be a good thing.
 
That's definately a good thing monsta, iv can get nasty very quickly! Although smoking and snorting can get pretty messy too, moderation is the key if at all possible!
 
Although I heard junkie originally meant people who steal copper and other precise metals and took them to junk yards for money.

Yeah, although copper's not exactly "precious" (or "precise", for that matter) ;)
 
nothing wrong living at home i still do but to normal people when i say i still live at home they look at you like you are a right mummys boy or special soldier so it is embarrising in a way
on another note a length of 22mm copper tube is over a 10 er in 2011 so it is half way to precious
 
Yep I toot too, i can't believe i've managed to just stay smoking for this long, but i'm really glad that i have. I have thought about shooting countless times coz it would save me so much money. My Boyfriend & I smoke heroin so we have to support two habits. We both work & i can smoke a tray & head off to work no problem, but i often wonder if i started to shoot would i end up so messed up that i'd lose my job? So i'm happy to stick to tooting, i think a lot of people start shooting to cut back on the amount of cash that they spend on gear.

Yes most heroin users on Bluelight seem to be holding it together very well. But the drought might have a lot to do with that? It does in my case anyway, i have gone from using 4 times a day to using 4 times every two weeks! It was because of money that i have saved due to the drought that i was able to buy this laptop that i am now using & also coz of having extra cash my internet has only been cut off once in the last year. If the drought ever totally ends then maybe heroin users will start disappearing off Bluelight coz of money problems! Now i'm sure some people will be happy enough with that coz there is always a snobbery towards heroin users, some people will take every drug under the sun, snorting mass amounts of coke, but they will still look at a heroin user with disgust, it happens!

I think its great the way the drought brought so many heroin users together on Bluelight & other forums, its about the only good think to come out of the drought, well that & my new laptop!!! But toot is my way & i just hope that i can stay that way, if i ever lost my job i would either have to stop using heroin (which is near impossible!) or else shoot.....

Yeah that is a fairly poxey thing to do alright! Its like when i read on here that a dealer was selling gear during the drought, but he'd only sell to you gear if you bought a rock of crack as well!! That is awful!!!

But any so called friend that would practically force their mate to shoot when he/she is sick is nothing but a total scum-bag!

Agreed my ex had heroin pushed onto her by her BF before me, and the C&NT pushed her onto pins...... she was 17 he was 23 :|
 
I smoke, but only once a week. I have injected occasionally in the past and it's so much better but I went over once and that was the last time. Luckily I was with someone who knew CPR and kept me going until the ambulance arrived.
 
I've only ever chased the dirty fishy brown dragon. Dont think smoking can ever get as bad as pinning has the potential to...u cant OD smoking (very little chance), cant lose any limbs, no absecces, infections or owt, loads less chance of disease (tho at least hep c is transfrreable from sharing a tooter), its definitely the sensible (!) choice of the two. But that doesnt mean that gear wont still fuck you or your life up beyond recognition as a smoker. As for the definition of junkie, well who gives a shit really, we're all junkies here in the eyes of the great british public! Cant stand junkie dick sizing bout who has had the most fucked up time or gone to the longest lengths!

Surely, if you're not homeless, you live at home? You mean 'with parents', perhaps?

The dictionary should also be consulted before we talk of 'junkies'. Junk = garbage, a 'junky' is a garbage person. He may or may not use heroin but somehow the word has become a synonym for a heroin user. Similarly, an-ex user is 'clean', regardless of acquaintance with soap and water. Stolen language for mind manipulation purposes.

Beware the soft machine does not make you its unwitting agent. When in doubt, pm SHM.
 
I started off by tooting for probably just over a year before I turned to the needle.
Stayed using the needle for around 6-7 years and now for the last 2 years I have returned to tooting my gear,mainly due to the fact I was having too much trouble getting a hit as my veins were never very good. Even at the hospital it took 2 nurses about 10 tries between them until they could get some blood from me for a blood test.

Another absurdity created by drug laws and criminalisation is that, if you shoot, you mainline. Until the late sixties, over 95% of heroin users went the safer i/m or s/c route. You don't miss the 'flash' at all and can get straight quickly and in public without anyone noticing. But skinpopping street gear is a short cut to an abscess or worse and destroying your veins, crazily, is the healthier option. Such a mad world, no wonder we're all three parts nuts.
