Heroin Hot spots? Myths?

I always hear how certain locations in melbourne are notorious for heroin. I ve never been asked to score or seen evidence of heroin users in springvale, footscray, stkilda or brunswick. Does the media have it wrong? is the amount of heroin on our streets an overblown myth? Im sure things were different in the past but it seems all our street are clean these days.... or maybe the hot spots are always changing and are unknown to the non heroin using society! Anyone noticed activity in your area? I live in dandenong and have not witnessed any use/dealing in my suburb. however i hear the train station is gets busts from time to time.

i dont know much about the scene over there, but the media hype up everything to do with drugs in most cases. i doubt there is open air markets, but im sure it wouldnt be too hard to spot users and the like if you know what to look for. i had friends that lived in footscray for a while and they had no problems finding it.

Footscray is still definately a location that has cleaned up alot along with springvale which is good to see. Definately no open air in springvale, not sure about footscray though or any other subs.

It caught world news by him saying melbourne is the dirtiest drug/junky city hes been in
