I'm not going to get into details about why I'm going to start heroin. Like the job market, I understand that there is a 'drought' at the minute. So not a great time to start doing a one-way ticket to oblivion. Regardless, I'd like to know what to expect from my first experience. Aside from overdose, anything to be aware of? To look forward to?

^ I hope that you have experience with opiates. Also if it is your first time I would suggest either having a friend there or starting low. Also, do not drive or have anything in the oven or something like that because you probably will nod out for a while.
No experience with opiates. Except for some stuff that was allegedly the real opium deal, but I think I got ripped off with some legal-high crap. Look, I'm not expecting any sympathy. This is a game where it's every man/woman for themselves. But it's in my head. I've been dreaming about heroin pretty much every night. Despite the advice I've received from my parents, from school teachers...I want to do it. I want to feel the greatest possible high ever. I've had a few beers (I know, I know, NEVER mix heroin with alcohol), so I can't stop myself from jabbering. I just want to make sure that this will be the best (and probably worst) thing I'll ever do.

So you know not to do something, but do it anyway? What I suggest you do is not even do it if you do not respect the drug enough to understand that mixing alcohol with it may very well have devestating effects, such as death.

Don't start off with heroin, it's like buying a Ferrari for a 14 year old with a fresh drivers permit. Start off with a few percosets, or vicodins. Maybe even tramadol if you can find it. Shit, try tylenol first! For harm reduction sake, don't be foolish. You have your whole life to do heroin, try something out first bro.

You are GUARANTEED to puke your guts out and feel sick. This is what you should expect from your first experience. It will be far from the best high ever. You should start with a weaker opiate like oxycodone to get an idea of what an opiate should feel like. And just because it is weaker doesn't mean you won't get REALLY high and enjoy yourself.
Not only will you feel sick, but then you will most likely nod off and pass out afterwards. I assure you will not be blown away by your first time experience with heroin...

I believe you are basically misunderstanding your desires. You want to try an OPIATE, not necessarily heroin. I feel like heroin is the only opiate you know of to desire because you said yourself that you have no experience with them.

I haven't even bought heroin yet. I know full well the dangers of doing it. The way I see it, heroin is all or nothing. IF I choose to do it, there's no turning back. Everything goes into it. So this is not a case of not being level-headed. I've seen first hand what happens with heroin. My uncle was found dead in an Amsterdam hostel with a heroin syringe in his arm. Most likely because of mixing the stuff with alcohol. I'm not expecting kind answers, I just want to know the truth. That's all.

I just gave you the truth. I fully support that you want to try heroin if thats what you are going to do... I obviously cant stop you.
But you asked what you should expect. And I told you that you are most likely not going to enjoy the effects and are guaranteed to puke for hours.
So, I advise that you try another opiate first. It doesn't mean you can't do heroin. Just try a weaker one, get a feel for opiates. And then try heroin!
