Heroin help..

Okay so a while back I was on here debating wether or not to get started on heroin due to the high price of lortabs. Well I did it. And I know I may get slammed for saying...the shit is not that great. It feels really good, but..i dunno.. I still think Id prefer tabs to this crap.

Now, I have done both, the cut shit and tar threw the nose, and its okay at best. So now me and my chick are thinking about shooting it. I am afraid to do this for a few reasons..1, ill be considered a drug addict, 2 I hate needles and 3, I do not want to OD. So before I do this..lemme know.. What am I not doing right that is not making this drug sooooo awesome like people say it.


and btw, how the hell do I inject the shit.. im kinda scared, also what should I expect?

Don't fuck around with needles man. I've been around the block with every drug you could think of and the only thing that has prevented me from completely fucking my life up is staying away from shooting. My friend who injects and has a high quality of life has put himself almost 100k in debt over three years from shooting heroin and OC. He has the means to get loans, etc and doesn't give a shit about anything anymore, I have no idea what he's gonna do when everything collapses around him eventually.

You're getting crappy heroin btw. The last time I bought it, I picked up three points of powder thinking it would last me a day maybe (I don't have extensive experience with H). At that point my maintenance dose of oxy was 80mg/day. I was doing teensy tiny lines all day every day for three or four days before it ran out, high as balls the whole time.

Seriously, buddy has offered to shoot me up with H and pills dozens of times, and I've turned him down every time. I used to think heroin was a big jump from pharmaceutical opioids, now I'm fine with the drug itself but the idea of firing anything into my veins and enjoying it is fucking scary, because I know I'll lose everything I have left if I do.

I think that if you chose to shoot up after this short amount of time of doing heroin? You will OD or you will miss your vein or something not worth it. It is a completely different beast.

1. I think you are already a drug addict if you have done opiate pain killers, sniffed heroin, and are now asking people on a website how to shoot up.

2. You will end up hating needles even more if you get hooked on using them.

3. You need to take very small bumps of the tar solution, and let it sit in your nasal cavity as long as possible. The more that goes down your throat, the more you waste. Heroin is barely active when it is in your stomach, the whole point of sniffing it is to let it dissolve into your nasal cavities where it is much more active than oral.

Don't . Lortabs ... to shooting H? Christ, that's a leap, eh? Please make sure to give it some more thought. If you're able, try giving opiates a rest so that your tolerance goes down, therefore lowering the cost of 'getting high'.
As one addicted to OC, or opiates in general, I understand it being costly. I am on day 2 of w/d and hating it - also tossed around the idea of getting some H due to lower cost. It's just really not worth it. How much lortab do you take, anyway? How long have you been using it, to not consider yourself an addict? Also, if you don't consider yourself an addict, I'd strongly recommend doing what I mentioned before - taking time off from opiates and lowering your tolerance.
*You and your g/f will be pleased with that decision in the long run. Choose the other, look back in a year... and you'll not be pleased. Note, I'm saying nay to the needle. If you use very seldom - and you are intent on trying heroin, try a dif. method. The fact that you have never used one before, and don't know anything about it makes me really ... want to push you in a different direction. Just that lortab to shooting H sounds crazy to me. (anyone else?)

My understanding is that heroin itself is not much different from other pharmaceutical opiates/opioids but that the rush from shooting either heroin or even the pharms is what can lead some people down the road to addiction.

Personally, yeah, I would snort heroin and have once before. (It was a very, very small bump.) But I would never choose to shoot heroin or anything else.

My advice would be not to shoot up. That's all I can say, I guess.
