Heroin & hallucinations

a good dose of kratom + a little bit of weed gives me very vivid daydreams (at least when i chill in my bed and have some nice music going). same with tramadol. i guess higher doses of opiates would do the same when nodding. but imho this can hardly be classified as psychedelic, because at least i have not taken any insight from it, it is really more like a trippy state of well-being.

Yeah thats the thing I'm talking about
It was many years ago (about 12)
But I'd find myself watching tv then
realise it wasn't turned on
When I was smaked up

While I've experienced what you're talking about, it is vastly different from psychedelic or dissociative hallucinations IMO. To me the phenomenon is more akin to hypnagogic hallucinations.

No, even opium isn't what I'd call a psychedelic. You do enter a strange half-awake, half-asleep dream state but it's nothing like a psychedelic.

Opiate withdrawel, after about a month or three of no nessasary dream sleep, or sleep at all, can definitly get psychedelic ...paticularly with a bit of zanex, to allow a more peacefull state, still short of actual sleep. cev's and stuff.

I do not withdraw well at all, likely cuz of underlining mental problems...trying it slooooow this time, no more cold turkey for me.

My brother and his wife just died from skin popping. Developed flesh eating disease and died in 24 hours. Their children are now orphans.

Has anyone else found smack pschodelic?

How is it even possible to misspell "psychedelic" so badly, given that its spelled out like 50 times on PD's main page?

I'm not usually a douche about stuff like that, but god damn, pull yourself together man. :D

my initial thought was some smack was involved in the post & it was more a matter of impaired motor function than impaired spelling ;)

I don't have much experience with H, but i do recall some interesting morphine induced hallucinations from when i used to get down like that (2001-2004ish). But like others have mentioned, they were more akin to hypnogogia (or in my specific case hypnopompic hallucinations, i.e. ring wraith looking things in my periphery) than to classical psychedelic ones.

you got me there
But I am really fit so it doesn't
Matter to me

I think opiates can definitely be kinda psychedelic like when your in a nod and start dreaming but your only half asleep and the dream makes up visuals to what your hearing on the tv ect...i fuckin love it.

happens to me when i take naps sober hehe ^^
