I have bad leg pain and it makes me so depressed, I can't even enjoy watching television because it's so unsettling. If I smoked heroin would it give me some respite? I just need something in the evening to unwind and relax

It would. But thats a big big risk your taking. Very easy to get hooked on.
I personally used to take Oxy/ Roxy/ Dilaudid/ anything i could get my hands on for my back pain.
Turned into being hooked on the street blues.... and lots of them.... Which is a MISERABLE EXISTENCE
Ive recently switched to smoking H myself in an attempt to get myself off the blues.... so far its worked and i have not had any blues in about 3-4 weeks. (im super super happy about that as my quality of life has improved drastically)
But i also can tell the H is just as addictive, as well as is the process of smoking it for me....

Also note this..... your going to cover up your pain, and its going to come back multiple times over because your not treating the cause of the pain. Just masking it for the time being.
I obviously dont know your background with Opiates
Proceed with EXTREME CAUTION. and TEST EVERY BATCH!! Very likely you get stuff with Fentanyl in it.... and if you are not tolerant to opiates you could end up 6ft under with ALOT of other people.

To sum it all up.
Yes it will. But its really not worth the risk my friend.

Thanks for the reply mate, I need something I'm so miserable at the moment. It's either heroin or misery 24/7.

Get doctor prescription for something of similar strength if you can avoid going on the streets to score.

Ya....why don't you see your family physician lol....bro, you BROKE your freaking leg

Oxycodone IR 5mg tablets 3-4 daily as needed

Tell them Morphine make you sick and Hydromorphone made you sleepy and cloudy headed. Oxycodone 5mg was an effective painkiller for you, 7+ years ago when you had X happen to you and were tried on few low dose opioids

Ask for an NSAID Naproxen (so you're not requesting opioids alone)
Ask for low dose oral Oxycodone IR 5mg 3-4 tablets daily as needed

Depending the doc, etc....you may request few extra tablets for "breakthrough pain" as it's extremely uncomfortable and keeps you from sleeping and painful throughout the day

Gabapentin 300mg X 3 capsules daily for a week or prior to bed to help sleep
Oxycodone 5mg 3-4 daily for month 30 days
Naproxen NSAID anti inflammatory med for pain/swelling

If presented like this to a physician, they're MUCH more likely to script you pain meds as this was effective for you 7 years ago when X happened and were tried on different meds. This was most effective treatment for you.

It was a walkin clinic you went to way back and don't recall of the top of your head all details

Good luck :)

The Doctor route is 10,000 times the better choice here.
Think about the future and when you no longer have the leg pain.

Any opioid would probably ease pain relief but H works in the right situation.
IIRC mixing it with a chem named DMSO is supposed to make it topical. Don't quote me, plz. ;)
DMSO is easily absorbed by the skin. It's sometimes used to increase the body's absorption of other medications. - Ed "citation" was too much had to be rid of it.

As with all do the research, yes.
?
Be safe.
Peace

Do you have a history of using opioids? If not, going to straight to heroin instead using milder painkillers is very stupid. It will work but it will also jack up your tolerance. Instead start kratom, codeine, hydrocodone or better yet a non opiate like kava. All these can help with leg pain.

I've broken my leg and have had many other surgeries. Believe it or not, doctors will still deny you pains meds. I have had several medical situations (including surgeries) where the doctors tried to get away with prescribing me nothing. I have absolutely no history of opiod abuse. Many doctors are just hysterical and have lost all reason on this topic.

I have prostate surgery coming up and they said they would keep me in the hospital and only give me Motrin. I talked to some guys who had the same procedure and they said that the pain was severe and my docs were nuts.

I told them no way were they going to do the surgery and trap me in the hospital with no pain meds. That is why I now keep pain meds on hand.

BTW....I only expect pain meds for a week after any surgery. But the current environment where doctors try and torture you is very real.

I think the blame needs to be placed on the DEA for harassing the doctors so much and scaring them shitless from prescribing. They are regularly threatened with jail by the dea.

You should be able to find a Dr. willing to Rx you enough meds to get you through the break/surgery whatever you are doing. If you have chronic conditions that is a different story. As unwilling to Rx opioids as Dr's are, if you have a bad break or surgery, with a decent Dr/surgeon, they should get you what you need. It seems like maybe you have had bad experiences, and are expecting things to always go poorly, and while it may be difficult, it's not impossible to get decent care if you have a legit reason. Also, Ketamine is being used more commonly for pain post surgery and even for chronic pain, you may ask pain Dr's about that, or even consider a regular Ketamine therapy protocol and use it for the pain if nothing else... Just thoughts not suggestions.

And of course you would get relief from Heroin, I'm sure you know that. Even if subconsciously, you're kinda justifying the idea already just by posing the question... But I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that. Heroin if sourced properly and used very carefully and minimally, can essentially be no different than pharma oxycontin (or equivalent), but that's not necessarily a good thing. But for perspective, it's just one of the original morphine based semi synthetic opiates originally used for pain and cough relief. The issue is, it's produced in illicit labs, and distributed illegally, and like with many drugs, it's the "scene" that comes along with them that becomes the worst part. Now a days, with DNM's, and test kits, etc, it's fairly easy to find heroin (although much much less common) that is high quality (expensive too) but you wouldn't have to go score on the streets. It's still illegal, etc, but it is somewhat doable if you know what you're doing. But unless you are extremely experienced with opioids, especially using them for pain, and know how to navigate markets etc, I would highly recommend against it. Certainly heroin would be a better choice than street blues if that is what it came down to, but there's a lot to understand before just jumping into it. Not to mention, the H you can find (in the US at least) is not cheap, now prob one of the more expensive drugs out there.

All in all, you really don't want to get into heroin over a broken leg. And it certainly won't just make you enjoy watching television, it might, but that shouldn't be your goal for pain relief. Don't do "whatever it takes" to unwind at night and enjoy doing nothing, please. The worst part about pain, chronic and acute, is the inability to even function in life, do the things you normally could do etc, or not do the things you were hoping to do. If you're in pain and just looking for an escape (from it, from life, whatever) perhaps think about drugs less addicting. Ketamine, other dissos, psychedelics, Kratom even... I'm not a big fan of weed, but with the amount of cannabinoids out there now, you can get a pretty custom experience if you really put some effort in. DXM/Ketamine can have mental health benefits as well as pain relieving and recreational aspects, but tred lightly if you have no experience...

Basically, figure it out with a Dr first and foremost, and keep trying Drs until you find one who can help.
