Heroin Heroin doseages?

Okay, I am new here and not sure if this is the right place to post. I am sorry if I am wrong.

I have been taking oxycontin on and off for years now but due to the lack of oc 80's (or any non OP type) I am considering switching to heroin. I love oxy but it is so hard to find and when I do the prices are through the roof. I'm not sure how much of a dose I will need though. I have friends that do it, but really don't want to sound stupid. They all know I take oxy but I guess they assume i do dope too which I actually know nothing about so if i asked people would probably think I was kidding and not tell me. Generally how much weight comes in a bag? I know all dealers are different but typically speaking I mean. (the reason I ask how much comes in a bag is that I do not have a MG scale, only a regular one like for weed so I would need to eyeball it in relationship to what comes out of a bag)
Also, I will normally take between 60-80mg of oxy depending on where my tolerance has been lately/ how much I've been using lately it can go up or down. About what would the equivalent be for H?

where I come from bags are X dollars max. Quality varies but if you use the same dealer you will get to know each batch. Can't make a recommendation on dose, you will have to find out for yourself on that one

if u normally do 60-80mgs oxy i would buy 4 bags of h they have around a tenth of a gram in them most of the time less and try out 2 whatever way you do them snort/shoot the 2 and if yer not that high go a head and do 1 or 2 more bags untill yer fucked up as much as u want 2 bags of h i would say is around 40-60mgs of oxy but the quality depends alot on how much yer gona need if its really good shit just 1 bag of h could feel like 40mgs of oxy if not more so start with one or 2 wait an hour and if not high enough do one more and wait 30mins

I wouldn't suggest you IV (shoot) it if you do choose to go onto smack (which I really don't advise) and either snort it or smoke it - that being if you have varieties that can be smoked; Black Tar or powder with Caffeine mixed in with it which will lower it's vapourisation temperature.

I would suggest sniffing half of a bag, and then increasing by 1/4 of a bag every 15-20 minutes until you reach the desired effects.

Quality and quantity varies greatly both regionally, and from batch to batch within any given region.

1 bag is roughly equivalent to 50mgs of oxycodone by me, but for one of the above posters 2 bags is equal to that amount.

Due to this, I can't say anything other than start out at a low dose, and slowly increase as stated in my first sentence.

I thought for a second that this might have been a post I made and forgotten about.

It wasn't long ago that we were in the same boat, man. I am making the switch now, but to be honest, I still prefer oxycodone or oxymorphone to heroin. I don't know how you plan on taking it, the heroin, I mean, but I would suggest bumping it for the first couple times.

I wouldn't recommend shooting it at all, but I have never shot any substance before in my life, and I have been told that shooting heroin is often times the "one hit wonder," if you know what I mean.

A "bag" is good for one dose or about one healthy-sized line. A "bundle" is ten bags. Good luck!

Thanks for the input, guys. Some really good answers so far. Yeah I don't plan on IV'ing it, I would just blow it. It's all powder up here, I've never even seen tar in my life. As of right now I am in new england (north eastern USA) and from what I've heard I guess the dope around here is pretty good stuff. I know it's not a wise decision to start doing H but i'm most likely going to anyways sooner or later.

Oh yeah? You're from New England, huh? Me too. I have never seen or heard of tar up here either, but I haven't done enough dope yet to be able to distinguish good dope from bad dope. My sister was a total junkie for a couple of years, so she really seemed to like it.
