Opioids heroin and other opiates not enjoyable

I've tried heroin a few times, as well as hydromorphone, but I never got a real enjoyable high.
It was never uncomfortable really and I did feel good and happy, but never really got any euphoria.
Everyone I talk to who has done talk about getting knee buckling euphoria, and getting the nods and stuff, and I never got any of that.
When I did hydro it was 150mg over 3 days, and when I did heroin the last time it was supposedly extremely potent (coming from a friend of mine who has been doing heroin for years, he said it was the best shit he'd done)
Even with doing a point and a half the first day with a very potent heroin, I never got nods and intense euphoria.
I did have a definite mood life, and some warmness and numbness and whatnot, but nothing close to nods or powerful euphoria.

I'm not really too worried since opiates are something I was always afraid of getting addicted too, but they don't affect me enough to consider buying it more than a few times a year.

Anyone else have this problem?
 
150mg of hydromorphone over 3 days?!?!? thats fucking nuts for a presumably opiate naive user! some people just dont like opiates, kinda like how some people just dont like uppers, or psychedelics. different strokes.
 
Yep, and the worst part was they were all generic 2mg pills, and I snorted every one.
It makes me shudder thinking about it but it didn't seem that bad then haha
And that was my first experience with any opiate other than codeine haha
 
jesus. that would most likely kill most people. Opiates arent for you man, i think i remember you not enjoying them along time ago?
 
seems fishy. 150 mg of morphine even over 72 hours is a gnar ass overdose. you should have had your moon boots strapped tight flying on mars and shit.
 
Well when I had the supposedly ultra potent heroin, the third day I finished off the last maybe 2 points in an hour, maybe 2 hours, and never nodded out or even felt close.
 
if 150mg of hydromorphone didnt do much for you over a few days i really do think you must just be lacking receptors or expecting too much. when i was doing lots of hydro/down 10-15mg of hydro would give me a nice rush, and down wise 25-50mg would have me nodding all over the place. (thats what good dope should do). For a non tolerant person anything over 15mgs of hydromorph should have put you in a hospital, or close. are you on any medications? any illness/disorders? some people just dont seem to get as high from opiates.
 
Like Dyno said, different strokes for different folks, y'all. If opiates don't get you where you want to be, that's completely natural. I know a handful of people who are prescribed around 90mg Roxicodone or one 80mg OC a day for legitimate pain problems, that claim to have never felt any euphoria or enjoyable feelings what-so-ever, just relief. This could be the pain sort of "cancelling out" the euphoria so they just stay at baseline, but I also know recreational users who say opiates just make them feel unpleasant/ heavy/ tired/ zombie-like.

I've been skeptical of these kinds of testimonies, and had a hard time accepting this since I absolutely adore opiate-like effects, and know many users who feel the same way. However, I've found it to be true that not everyone is capable of appreciating this wonderful class of substances to their full extent. Sad, but nothing to be discouraged by; experiment with different opiates (seeing as the way they are absorbed and metabolized differs), potentiation techniques (there are a ton of threads on BL), and maybe another source of dope.

If that doesn't work, don't sweat it. No one says you HAVE to do opiates, and you might just find another category of substances that fits your body chemistry/ personality much better.

I'm not an expert on this subject in any sense of the word, just sharing my personal experiences.

I have 150 Oxy (same as 300mg morphine) daily and it's not even close to overdose in 1 day never mind 3...
And I only weight like 105lbs.
 
Try Oxycodone I find that to be the most Euphoric Opioid/Opiate. But still THAT MUCH Hydromorphone with no Tolerance WILL KILL a human.
