Opioids Heroin and coughing / lungs

So i am kind of confused, any time i do heroin (black tar) i usually end up with lung issues and cough out shit. Like i can barely take a drag off a cig while on dope with out coughing it out. I understand it affects the respiratory system but so do other opiates and benzos! And the thing is this only happens to me on dope.. i also wake up in the middle of the night trying to catch my breath , wheezing. Again this only happens with H and not other opiates and i am sure i am not over doing it.

Btw i am not smoking it because that would be the obvious answer.. insight please.

I have never had the chance to try black tar but judging by what I've heard and read about it, it seems to me that it could be cut with a lot of nasty stuff that could end up in your lungs by not diffusing into your blood kind of like what happens with pills. This is all a guess I'm not saying for certain this is what it is.

Black tar is a pretty nasty mix of stuff, especially if you're not micron filtering it. If you find you get lung problems and apnea when you use tar heroin, there's something that's not right with how your body's responding. You should probably reduce your dose a bunch.

i used to have the same problem and i actually made a thread about it last year. when i used to snort dope the wheezing was REALLY bad i would also wake up in the middle of night gasping for air, yes it even would get bad enuf where i couldn't take a drag from a cig but ever since i switched to IV i don't really have this problem any more ( except when i do a lot). i live on the east coast so i do the east coast powder heroin (ecp)) someone said in my thread that it could be possible some people are allergic to dope.

but for real man get an inhaler, it helps tremendously and instantly gets rid of the wheezing only use it when you need it though

Not to mention opioids are powerful cough suppressants thereby compromising your body's natural ability to clear itself of contaminants, so to put it simply you may get a build up of nasty shit in your lungs and be at an increased risk of infection.

Plurisy is very common in Heroin smokers , cig smokers, pill snorters, tobacco and marijuana smokers. Patients who have plurisy can have little/no symptoms, or major symptoms.

I was diagnosed with plurisy in Nov. and I truly believe it was caused from snorting pills.

Xrays/MRI can confirm a diagnoses.

Not sure about 'black tar', but all opiates tend to supress the cough reflex and slow breathing. Opium was often employed to treat people suffering from consumption (TB) in the past, who needed to stop coughing for professional purposes, if not convenience. Many of them, sadly, died from massive doses of Laudenham or Opium, taken late at night to get some sleep, or end their misery.

I've never had a problem with black tar, but then again you have to have a reliable source... and the only way to do it is shoot it (I'm not sure how you're doing it).

Honestly i remember this even happening when snorting powder dope, again it doesn't happen with other opiates. I do have an inhaler thank god! In the past when i was still new to it i didn't have an inhaler on hand and i swear there has been at least 6 times or so where i thought i was gonna die from not having air! Went to the hospital twice because of pneumonia caused from dope.. All i can do is space out my using more which tends to help..
