heroin and clonidine

I am a very active heroin user. I have a script of clonidine and was wondering if i popped clonidine will it make my dip better? Please be specific with mg and how many bags (: thank youuu!!!

I would just save the clonidine for when you are kicking. I just used it for a kick, and it helped a lot. Also, I'm going to move this to the correct forum.

Clonodine while you are taking H is going to add to the nod considerably. I believe it can also increase the chance of you falling out from cardiac arrest. Clonodine slows your heart rate, but H already does a good job of just this . I wouldnt take clonodine and H at the same time, unless you want to play with death . Like Tommyboy said, clonodine is much more helpful during times of w/d from H .
 
I would worry that your blood pressure would drop significantly if you took clonidine with your heroin.. it's an antihypertensive (blood pressure medication) as well as being useful for heroin WDs.

I wouldn't risk it - could be a dangerous combination.
 
^ fair enough, and maybe it is safe - I don't know - the idea of it just makes me a little uneasy, that's all :)
 
^ I agree, but FTR, I have a friend that is prescribed both clonidine, 90mgs of morphine, and 40mgs of oxycodone a day, from the same doctor. Now that is likely far less of an opiate dose than the dose of heroin people take, so it doesn't really say much in terms of safety.

I will say that I have always waited to take heroin if I am still feeling the effects of the clonidine. It makes me too groggy, so I can't really feel the opiate euphoria as much.
 
Usually it is used as a potentater...

Only use it if you are in a jam and you don't have enough for a nod as heavy as you like, also to save some of your bag....

Usually people would only need .2 mg for this purpose. .5 mg is for a real short night. Anything over this can be dangerous if you. Especially if you are sitting upright when you take a shot on it.

I should add that I can see some of the side effects of the clonidine being a big problem. ^ Jay, you sure about those doses? I have the 0.2mg, and it is enough to knock me out, and that is saying a lot considering the benzo scripts I used to have, and the fact that it knocks me out harder than 50mgs of seroquel does. The other doses I know of are .1, and .3, so that's why I'm saying the doses you mention seem high.

Anyway, the biggest side effect that I get from it is dizzy/lightheaded. When I stand up normally, it gives me that feeling that I stood up too quick, and my vision gets blurry and I feel faint for a few seconds. The other thing is, like I said, it knocks me out, so heroin would be no fun on that, and definitely dangerous. I wouldn't mix dope with anything over 0.1mgs of clonidine.

You are absolutly right.... I will edit my post accordingly.
 
But clonidine is absolutely no substitute and will not increase the euphoria of opiates. It creates sedation by means of lowering the blood pressure significantly.

That is why I mentioned being careful of shooting sitting upright if you are already on clonidine. Hypotension is a bitch.

I felt I have to mention that.
 
I have found it does absolutely nothing euphoria wise, it increases your nod in a bad way.. you'll just fall asleep and waste your high. IMO it's pointless. It;s a much better tool when in withdrawal to help with sleep/coldsweats

You took too much clonidine and not enough H

You have to trail and error you way to getting it right. It happened to me before. I know where you are coming from. Don't give up, it saves you money big time.
 
WTF I have to disagree. I had a script of clonidine for months and it doesnt do jack shit for heroin potentiation unless you consider turning your nods into naps a potentiator.

But your right.. more heroin less cloniding, GOOD COMBO. More heroin, forget the clonidine-no difference to me!

Honestly.. it does nothing for euphoria or boosting your high or saving you money. iT'S my opinion I guess I am just surprised someone found any value in those things besides sleep and withdrawal help.

And I gave up . I began taking it for sleep which turned into taking .2mg twice daily for like 6 months..and thank god I am off that shit. Beleive it or not I had bad withdrawals (not like dope, fucking WAY different) from that shit.

Anyone taking it regularly.. taper off, do not just stop it. I almost ended up in the ER..left my bottle on the plane and it was a friday night so I couldnt get till Monday.. I nearly went to the ER. The weirdest thing (not the worst) was night tremors. I've never had them..never knew they existed or beleived in them. They are like a dream but seem so real.. like I had REALLY bad rebound hypertension, and would somehow fall asleep for a few minutes and in ym dreams I would get this pressure in my head and like faint, get bad vision, it seemed so fuckin real. Like I didn't even wanna go back to sleep.

Oh man it was so fucking good to get a clonidine in me. Just a warning to anyone who takes clonidine regularly. My friend laughed at my when I told him what happened then he went through a night of the same shit till I finally got to his house to give him some. Fiendin worse than dope lol..fo rheart meds.

On the real, if you want someone to potentitate a dope high, get some benzos, not a bullshit heart med. You will THANK your self for saving the clonidine for when you get fuckin terrible cold sweats and rls and need a little relief.
