Heroin and Ambien. How long until it's safe to go to sleep?

Hi guys, stupidly, I did a shot of dope at around 11:30pm. I then took 10mg of Ambien around 1:30am to go to sleep. I then immediately started to wonder how safe it was and realized it was not very safe. I had to fight sleep very hard and i would find myself nodding hard while i was taking a pee, sitting and doing work on the computer, and standin up watching TV so i didnt get sucked in by the couch. I am prescribed Ambien so that's no big deal and now its 4:30am. Im tired, but nothing crazy, just tired because i need to get to sleep.

Just wondering if it would be safe to go to bed for the night now. Please let m know asap so I dont sit up being miserable. Thanks guys!
 
Well I sure hope you haven’t been awake for this long and that you got to sleep safely <3.

Just wondering if someone who knows the answer to this question (if anyone does) could post a reply so that future BL's who are looking for this can find it with a search.

Question was never answered and IDK if you even use this anymore but just so you know your efforts to keep yourself awake were in vain. You were perfectly safe, unless this particular time you did a rather large shot of dope, otherwise all you risk is a really intense nod which, oh yeah! You experienced.

So answer to the question 10mg of ambien + your NORMAL amount of heroin you do will, more than likely, just put you on a great nod.
 
used to do this.. ALWAYS!

would usually blast anywhere from .5 to 1G of dope around 8PM and then those 12.5MG's Ambiens; never had a problem sleeping. then again, I had a killer habit on both ends, so that is also a reason.

listen, the reality is ANY DRUG COMBO IS DANGEROUS; it always comes down to the tolerance you have already built and are used to. I am not one to tell anyone to mix or take a chance, but from my own experience, I never had any issues when combining the two.

at one point I enjoyed the Ambien trips so I would take 3 Ambiens during the DAY and also blast my dope then too; I'd just nod out/trip/hallucinate/walk around w/o even remembering. pretty sure it was a waste of the dope, but the dope was needed in order to be dope sick.

so the answer to the question is.. NOTHING IS SAFE.. but if you are already used to dope and are a daily user, then you should have NO WORRIES! if it's your first time using both, then of course there are worries to be had. however, if you are used to using both then might as well nod on off!
 
Just keep in mind that while ambien is not a benzo, they are so closely related that there is almost no difference. Opioids and benzos or Z drugs like ambien are not a safe combination.
 
If you're able to maintain full consciousness and a normal respiratory rate, and it's been that long and wasn't a very high dose to begin with, I'd not worry about you going to sleep right now...
 
I agree, I take ambien on top of my pain pills and that's how the doctor prescribed the medications. At reasonable doses it should be safe but for harm reduction purposes it's necessary to be cautious with these sort of drug combinations.
