After almost 20 years of opiate abuse, prescribed and not-so-prescribed (hydrocodone to oxys to H) the typical progression for those of us with no real medical insurance dealing with a very real injury and subsequent surgeries from an accident in 1994, I now find myself trying to detox from a G a day snorted H habit with a handful of Suboxone strips.
Scared shitless is a really polite way to put it, but I gotta do this one way or the other, this train ride needs to come to an end NOW, for all of the obvious reasons.
What I'm most worried about now is the amount of sub usage coupled with time of same for the purpose of detox and staying sober. I'm aware and experienced in the subject of AWS & PAWS, unfortunately, due to my lack of medical insurance, getting clonidine and other helpful comfort meds is not possible. I've got 8mg sub strips to help me with this and very few of those, so any advice or support you could offer me would be greatly appreciated.
