Hey guys and gals, thanks for having me! I used to lurk the site back in the day (‘14/‘15 maybe?) when I was using prescription pills, morphine, ecstasy and fentanyl patches recreationally, but got away from that and hadn’t had any reason to be here.

These days I have a diagnosis of BP1 and for the past couple years I’ve been doing the hop around on medications to find the right combo that works. I’ve settled on Latuda, Clonidine, Xanax, and Adderall and up until recently I thought it worked really well! My up and down swings have been pretty minimal, but my lows when I get there are extremely low and last for days, which I’m coming to find out it’s probably akathisia. So I’ll be here lurkin and searchin to see what everyone else with mental health problems seems to enjoy medication wise. If I feel like I need to comment on something because I have experience with it I will, and if you have questions feel free to ask!

Thanks,
-Klone

Welcome to the forums mate

It's not unusual for meds, or a combination of, to begin to affect us differently after some time. A combination of tolerance, a change in ourselves and/or environmental factors etc

No sure than an amphetamine sounds like the best plan for BP1 though tbh

Things have changed a few times in life to make me hop around different meds, the way it goes I suppose. I really enjoyed taking syraquil as my AP but my job required me to be at work uber early and it just wasn’t working out.

The amp was prescribed as a treatment for an ADHD diagnosis, I guess I should have mentioned that. I was a lil worried at first when it was prescribed just based on my history with uppers but the quality of life is just so much better on it not only helping the adhd but the overthinking and intrusive thoughts as well. There’s been one time in a year it amplified those things, but I’ll take the better QOL all day long.

Hey and welcome

I have to agree and yea we not all the same and stuff but overall the is always a general side that everyone gets with this or that med.

Now back to my point, in my ezp anyone with BP1 or 2 should stay away from Stimson as they are a sure way to get or go manic and go into psychosis very easily and quicker then your normal user per say.

This is from personal exp as I'm bipolar too and I know that evertime I use Stimson it turns out bad. The mania might feel good for a while but crash and burn you will that can throw tou back into deep depression where you need to dig yourself out of again and only to repeat the processes. So my input, Stims should not be in the mix.
