Anyone catch the segment on Sunrise this morning?
Apparently someone almost died after taking Giggles. I'll keep looking for an article on it as I didn't catch the full story. It's scrolling on the ticker though.

Eugh. These legal highs are more dangerous than some illegal drugs, the government really needs to sort out it's priorities.

They were interviewing a black american fellow, and he was saying that they really only listed the tableting and lubrication agents on their packet, sussed them out and they have geranium extract, methylhexaneamine

^^ that another name for DMAA? I had a look on wiki and it lists the following under methylhexanamine as synonyms. I've noticed the new Amp has "1,3-dimethylpentylamine" rather than "1,3-dimethylamylamine" too. Who knows why the company changed the labelling?

My partner tried the giggles... He was not impressed with them at all. He went into a horrid trip and I spent most of the night trying to calm him down.
It was scary both for myself and him.
It's sad someone has OD'd on these, but after seeing my partners reaction I can understand how someone can. Hopefully they'll be discontinued.

Lasted for about 2-3 hours... I remember him saying he felt like he was going into nothingness, and his vision kept blacking out. Then he'd have closed eye visuals seeing friends who had passed away and stuff, which then just caused him to be upset.

He wasn't really able to articulate anything either, or look anyone in the eye. It was bizarre...

He had a second one in the packet, but after seeing how he had reacted, I don't want to touch them...

Myself and my girl experienced simmilar effect to what Tekno has described, they were hypnotics from the same range diablo etc. They were sold in packets of 4 and had a metallic outer blue film with a yellowish brown inside. We felt as if we had ingested some average k, then horrible pannic like comedowns...I popped a xanex to chill...my partner declined, and I stayed up for the next 8 hours while she cried and vomited...STAY AWAY. How they can sell these and get repeat customers is beyond me....

The majority of herbal highs are complete garbage. I thought I was having a heart attacked after consuming a couple Double Happy DMAA pills! Horrible stuff! Avoid!

There is seldom anything herbal about the new range of party drugs.

There is a certain Bath Salt out at the moment that is on par with Meth (in terms of high AND come down). Effective - Yes. Safe - Fuck no!

I thought I would give the Diablo's a try about a month ago....I followed the instructions on the packet, had 2 to begin with, go a mild rush that lasted around 2-3 hours, then consumed the last 2 in the packet like the back of the packet stated....and then 1 hour later I started to vommit uncontrollably.....I vomitted continuously for the next 5 hours.....was fucking horrible, it was like i had been poisoned.

i've lost count of the number of times i've said to people "if it's legal, it's no good". All the fun drugs are illegal, they wouldn't want us having a good time or anything. I've never met a single person who had a good time on any of these kinds of pills... there's either no reaction or a very very bad reaction.

I remember being at an event and seeing a whole stand of "herbal highs" and saying "so, what's the active ingredient?" to which the overly happy salesman replied "oh it's all natural, so it's safe" i just stared at him in disbelief and said "yeah, cyanide is natural too..." I'm not sure he understood, or wanted to understand though...

i know a lot of punters that love the legal highs (lets stop calling them herbal hey) and enjoy taking their fair share. I have also consumed my share since first discovering them back in auckland in 2004.

I can honestly say I have never experienced nor seen anyone else have a bad reaction to them when if directions were followed & not mixed with other drugs.

I have seen plenty of people come unstuck when not following directions and when not mixing with other drugs - including myself which involved a trip to the ER!

I'm no fan of these at all, however I have found the comments recently biased and not really helping the whole HR movement.

Sure post on here if you have had a bad reaction to the directed dose and with nothing else in your system, however what's the point on posting about the time you dropped 10 legal highs but didnt feel anything so you had 4p of meth, dropped 2 googs, threw up all night and put blame entirely on the herbals???

The only part that bothers me is that they don't list all of the ingrediants, and they don't list exact doseages. This might seem kind of weird from someone who used to munch pingers like candy without testing them, but the idea of just ingesting completely and absolutely random combinations of chemicals just doesn't sit well with me. At least with pills, optimism would have you believe that you're taking MDMA and maybe a little speed/caffeine/2c*/K (2 years ago mind you, these days, fuck knows). But with legal highs? The only guarantee you have is that whatever is in them is probably completely obscure and in no way researched. Which isn't to say I haven't taken them previously and won't in the future, but when people feel safer buying street drugs than taking these pills, I think it says something.

agree about the poor regulations on listing actual ingredients however thinking even with that rectified the general public still won't give a rats if it's listed as "N,N-Dimethyl Acrylamide" or "DMAA" or "geranium" as they couldn't care.........just as long as they get munted!

Personally I think you'd be lucky to find more than caffeine + DMAA and a bunch of other useless "herbals" in any of the herbal ecstasy pills. All the new non mephedrone/Piperazines seem to be just this.
