hello everybody, just signed up for some discussions. ive been hanging around for quite a while but just joined. I am not sure where to ask a question that many people will see.....about my hep-c and the latest fatigue ive been feeling lately. Man, i am not a lazy man but you wouldnt know that if you could see the way i am now compared with......well even last year. i really need to know if anybody knows of a miracle drug that can help me get out of bed and or off the couch! fatigue is a symptom that comes with hep-c, but man im going downhill as far as having any gumption at all to do anything! I take a lot of opioids that could cause this, but ive been on them for years and have never felt so damn lazy before. the first thing any doctor says it that its the morphine or the dilaudid that is prescribed to me through the local pain mngt. clinic. even that doctor doesnt realize how bad the fatigue is. I do take a lot of pain meds, 60mg morphine caps twice a day and 6-7 8mg dilaudid prn, usually 4 in the morning and 3 in the eve. They used to help with the get up and go, but not much anymore. anybody got any ideas that might help me out even if its a little? i am also on 60mg of celebrex thats sposed to help but it doesnt. appreciate any feedback you might give.

Hello notsosureanymore, I am so glad you joined our community. I want to start off by saying I got your PM and I wanted to try and direct you to Basic Drug Discussion . It is a forum that will have the knowledge you are seeking among many others on Bluelight. I was also hoping you allow let me to copy this thread and send it to BDD on your behalf to get the responses that would help you to accomplish your goal while on these meds. I know you will get the responses you need for your situation.

errrm, i have to agree with doctor, when i was on opiates long term i noticed i was ALWAYS lethargic...taking stimulants helped but only temporarily and then they backfired on me..when i got off opiods my energy came back a little but still, lack of 'gumption' as u put it..maybe you could try welbutrin?ask your doctor about that one...

oh i fogot to say i bumped these pain meds. and i have been through 2 years of hep-c treatments, 1 quite a while ago and 1 just a couple years ago. i was a non responder on either. they dont have anything out there any newer than what i have tried. anyway fatigue is the only reason i brought up hep -c. you know i would try almost anything to help with this make me lazy, cant get off the couch, dont feel like doing anything feeling i am going through. drugs may help, i wished there was something that would eliminate it. im am however open top trying anything. hell id piss on a spark plug if i thought it would help! (quote from war games) hahaha
anything at all out there? come on kick in youre private recipie, youre special blend of get up and go meds or ????

^^thats the thing, these 'get up and go' meds are all going to make u crash and feel worse in the end..i have a huge problem with lethargy maybe from longer term opiate/stim use and the only thing i use now is caffeine and then i just absolutely force myself to go exercise because i realize if i dont, i will feel worse..it takes constant large amounts of will-power on a daily basis for me to fight the lethargy..not to burst your bubble but...maybe someone else has a magical recipe but i doubt it..
