:) No worries, making bubble was an obsession of mine for years!

Don't dry the leaf/trim/airbud first either for the cleanest product.You can process more, and more quickly if you dry the trim, but you won't stand as great a chance of getting fully melting zero residue goodness. Just keep wet trim in the freezer till ready for bubblin'
 
bubble process is a piece of piss, first couple of times you do it you'll make a mess and a few mistakes, but it's very simple and you'll get quicker...

I used to put aside a whole evening, 2-3 hours to make bubble, then next 4 hours or so to make the butter (and can be sampling the bubble already while the butter is simmering away anyway).....

Eesh bad news mate. Can't imagine whats happened there but it does sound like somethings been added. The stuff I got was exactly the same as blue cheese I've been sold in the past. I find it has a rather distinctive smell, and a strong stone. The guy I got it off seemed very straight up and honest, and like i said let me have a joint of it beforehand. Said he usually gets 20oz straight from the grower then sells it on in oz's. I'm impressed considering I haven't been able to get bud at that price for a long while. Been paying £220 an oz for the past few months, after paying £180-200 before that.

Just met my new guy, got some nice bud but was only 3.1g for £40, I'm out of touch with prices but isn't that really expensive at uni it was bang on 3.5g 1/8 for £20 (10 years ago!) or could it b justified for small deal of nice gear? In London.
 
That is about right, most people pay £20 for 1.5 ish

Terrible terrible prices, alot has changed in 10 years.
 
If you haven't bought any for ten years you have at least missed out on the craze for adulterating the honest herb which swept this country. It's still going on but I don't think on anything like the scale it was previously.

Actually, thinking about it in a fairly lazy early morning way, everyone (including myself) who said that adulterating weed was stupid short termist thinking from dealers could have been wrong because people became willing to pay slightly more for weed which was guaranteed not tainted and those prices sort of became the new standard.

That is an interesting way to look at it, it makes perfect sense. I never thought of it that way before.
 
Just occurred to me this morning, I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist but I don't think it's too far fetched. Prior to all that shit being sold it was pretty common to hear people saying things like 'weed has been £15/20 an 1/8 for fifteen years and has only been getting better'. So for the people controlling the market there was a ceiling price which people weren't prepared to go above- cannabis wasn't even going up in line with inflation- and the £15/20 1/8 is no more (or can at least no longer be presumed as the standard). It's possible I suppose.
 
^ i was thinking about that and im unsure that there was a giant conspiracy to contaminate weed to drive the price up, id say it was more likely a case where one person does it, others see that you can make more money and jump on the bandwagon, and im sure those people who were spraying the weed now realize that they can make way more by selling it clean, most likely a coincidence

On a side note, i just found a lump of pollen in my pocket, lucky the piggies weren't at the tube station this morning!
 
Oh yeah, I'm only saying it's possible, not that I believe that it happened. But it sure shook up pricing in what had been a static market for a looooong time.

I too have just been in and out of central with a bag full of herb I'd forgotten was in a pocket!
 
just stunk out a bus with some cheese, god damn that stuff stinks, 10er a g but actually worth it as its ridiculously highgrade :D
 
Ended a 4 week break with some black rose last night, it's the deepest purple buds I've ever seen and smells like a strong perfume. It's nice to get some well grown and cured bud for a change.

well ho ho ho, merry cherry eyed crimbo EADD stoners :D its been a hell of a crimbo but its all turned good!! here in NI it seems dry as a nun, but i have managed to store some for this rainy day, at christmas of all times for weed to be scarce! awk well im chuffed at the moment, my mate dropped me round a big massive suitcase type thing, i open it to see lots of bubble wrap n hear loads of clanking, its a fuckin 20 perculater bong

This thread seriously depresses me. It ain't rocket science to be able to deliver bud that's not damp and weighs what its meant to. And to the greedy money-changers selling at 280 an oz .... well, sorry but I'd like to take a machine gun to them. There is no justification for that price and to those of you stupid enough to pay that amount - well, you ain't doing anyone any favours. Apart from your capitalist dealer of course.

Bring back hippies.

And ffs stop paying 40 quid for less than an eighth.
