I have been pescribed oxy for the last 3 years but have seemed to been using when I am dead tired instead of for pain only.then it went to "I don't know how to function without it, and when I don't take one I'm dead tired!"..... So How do I go about quitting or getting off of them? I don't want withdrawal, so cold turkey wouldn't be a good idea. I've used kratom when I run out towards the end of my monthly perscrip and it works great as a substitute yet I don't want to rely on that stuff the rest of my life. Thanks.
Best wishes!

Hello, I have been in your situation. Unfortunately at some point you will have to deal with some sort of withdrawals. Otherwise you could use Tianeptine or Loperamide and you could easily trade addictions. Can you put together a good taper plan? Then you could jump when you are at a really low dose and use some comfort meds for like 2-4 days and be done with the worst physical stage. The mental stage (PAWS) can be just as or more difficult so you would have to plan on the best way for you to engage those feelings. I wish you the best and I hope you can pull through this and get well.
