Swim shot heroin in the crook of his elbow a few days ago. Now Swims elbow joint aches and is stiff. It's tender to the touch. Swim is worried he has an infection because now his shoulder joint is starting to ache too.
If someone can please advise Swim would appreciate it because he fears he may have a medical emergency.

Welcome to bluelight. First thing, we don't use "swim", " my dog", or any other such replacements. As many have said before me--it offers no protection, and is annoying to read. (Lol now I'm sounding like the mods...guess I've just read that explanation hundreds of times)

To answer your question--when you say you shot heroin in the crook of your elbow I'm assuming you shot into a vein (you kind of worded it oddly so just making sure ?)

Is there any swelling at injection site? Is there an abscess? Or is it just sore?

No one can diagnose you over the Internet. If you truly fear infection, see a doctor. That said, if you have no abscess, swelling , or outward sign of infection, you may have hit a nerve. Or--were you digging around to find a vein? That may not hurt at time but boy you can feel it later.

My guess on your shoulder ache--you're probably favoring the elbow as its sore, thus moving abnormally--putting strain on your shoulder. But again--I'm no doctor.

If its only aching and no swelling, abscess, etc, you'll probably be fine in a few days. Just like any other ache...

Yes if it is serious enough consult a doctor. If not it's probably the comedown/ after effect of shooting the heroin (which is a strong pain killer) and can produce soreness of muscles and aches when coming down/ moreso when withdrawing or IVing.
