I am making the switch from methadone to bupe. I have come from 90mg to 30mg, and then yesterday had 15mg and today 10mg, with a view to starting on 4mg bupe tomorrow afternoon. My stomach has intense stabbing pain and I find it hard to move and would like to know if taking lopermide - I have never used it before - will cause precip. w/d tomorrow when I start on bupe.

Please help.

Dont they do urine tests when on subuxone treatment in your country? What if they notice that in your system?

This has been answered; immodium won't cause precipitated WD.

I'll go ahead and close this thread.

Apparently this is not the case, and taking loperamide, and then Suboxone, can cause precipitated withdrawal. I am thinking it must be dosage dependent for enough of it to get through the BBB.
