Opioids help with Suboxone dose

I am stopping a Painkiller addiction today. I have been taking 30mgs of Percocet 2 1/2 times a day for about 8 months' was only doing 1 to 1 1/2 for most of the time but for the last 3 months I definitely have been doing 2 to 2 1/2 a day. I eat them and have snorted them. I have never felt so trapped in my life. I have tried cold turkey twice lately. made it about 24hrs then failed. I would like to try Suboxone as I have received 10 8mg strips. My last use was at 3pm. I would like to try the Suboxone at noon tomorrow .My question is the dosage. should I try a quarter of the strip first and see how that goes or start with Half the strip at 4mgs?
 
You are on a very low dose of oxy. Bupe is a very strong drug so you are not going to need much.

Start with .5mg's. If you take too much bupe, like the 4mg's you mentioned, you'll end up with a worse addiction to the suboxone than you have now to the percocet.
 
Do I realy need to wait 24hrs or would noon tomorrow be ok or if I wake up in WD,s? Thank you so much
 
Those are 8 mg strips, the 2 mg is the naloxone in it.

Try to make it to 24 hours, the closer you get the better off you are.
 
how would I cut this film into .5?? Is half 4mg? quarter 2mg? How bad would the WD,s be if I cold turkey tomorrow?? 2-3 30,s a day? I need to work Monday...:(

Just keep cutting it in half. .5mg's is 16 pieces. It's very easy to do.

The withdrawals from 60-90mg's of oxy really won't be that bad in the grand scheme of things. I mean, yeah they'll suck.. but people deal with cold turkey kicks from much much bigger habits everyday. You won't be debilitated, just uncomfortable.

The good thing is that for a habit that small, the suboxone will work right away, provided you wait long enough to take it, and you'll feel much better.

The average wait time for people is 24 hours.. some have to wait longer, others can take suboxone after a shorter amount of time. You have to wait until you are in moderate withdrawals. The small dose you'd be taking of suboxone (.5mg) wouldn't cause very bad PW's anyway, if at all, so you will be okay to take it most likely as soon as you start to feel withdrawals.
 
If I take .25 of Arazapam to sleep tonight would that screw anything up? Thank you sooo much. So scared that I am Trapped. Is 75mgs a day of Oxycodone easy to quit??

The alprazolam wont have an impact on you starting suboxone. It's fine.

As for your other question... nobody can really answer that for you. As far as dosage goes, 75mg's is on the low side, so it wont be that bad. It's all a matter of perspective though. If that's the biggest habit you've ever had, it's going to suck. But it will not be horrible. You can get through it. Like I said, people detox everyday from habits 10x that size.

I realy appreciate your input. I am 42 years old,Bussiness owner and father of 5. Been using to help get threw the stress of it all. But I now know I have a problem. Is it bad that I am going to try this film?? I am just not ready for cold turkey and hope this stuff will help me get threw the day and forget about the pills. I cant believe such a small piece of paper in a 16th would do anything for me?? would 1mg be ok??
 
3pm tomorrow would be 24 hrs. If I Take 1mg of Suboxone when would I need to expect to have to take it again? trying to have a plan here. Hoping to only take once a day.before work or before bed?? thank you
 
Trust me. People with hardcore IV heroin addictions are totally fine at just 4mg's a lot of the time. For the amount you are taking of oxy, .5mg's is plenty. After 2 hours, if you still feel sick (which I highly, highly doubt you will) take another .5. Less is more with suboxone. It is a very powerful drug.
 
Suboxone has a very long half-life, so considering your tolerance you should have no problem taking it once a day. You may need it every 18 hours for the first 2 days, but after that once a day should be fine.

The longer you wait the better the suboxone will work, but considering your low tolerance and the short duration of oxycodone you will be fine waiting 20-24 hours to dose it. It takes about 1.5-3 hours to peak, so if the initial dose doesn't completely take away the withdrawals wait 2 hours before increasing the dose, and only take 0.25-0.5mg more.
 
well, I am at 18 Hrs and the RLS has been a bitch since 3am. Got up and smoked some weed, Took some tylanol,and a half of a .25 Alprazolam and went back to bed. I am now up and the craving is strong. Nose is running but the watery eyes has not started yet. Really hope this suboxone is going to be the magic helper.
I want to try and cut up the film into what you guys say 16th,s. can you handle the film and how do I store it after opening the package?? Thank you
