I need some help withdrawing. Using what i have available to alleviate W/D.
I have on hand. Tramadol 50 mg X 90
ativan 0.5 mg X 60
rememron 60mg X 90
seroqel 25 mg X 100
ambien 10mg X 60
Starting tommorow im coming off of 90 mg's of oxycodone there the 30 mg blues. Or "roxies"
Anyway someone could recommend a "safe" way to dose off of what i have besides using more oxy. Please any feedback from what i have on hand would be great.%)

I've withdrawn from opiates many times and am not just talking out my ass here. The best thing you can do is not use any drugs and just BE SICK for a few days. Anything you use to alleviate your withdrawal will just make it last longer.

Drink lots of water and eat nutrient dense foods like raw fruits, vegetables, and juices.
Go sit in a sauna and sweat.
Reflect on how you got to this point.

I know it sucks but you can do it. If you find that you can't stop going back to opiates you are probably an addict mentally. 12 step programs have helped millions quit drugs for good.

I couldn't catch whether those were prescribed to you or not, but if they were, I would keep taking your regular doses of these medications throughout the w/d period. If not, Ativan is a benzodiazepine and may help you through the worst of your w/d symptoms; just take it sparingly (as benzo w/ds are nothing to laugh at either) and after a few days, you should be golden, so long as you're properly hydrated.

It's true that the best way to detox is just to let the drug pass through your system naturally, but if you need to function during any of your recovery, the lorazepam (Ativan) may help with sleep. :)

The one thing that helped the most for me, was soaking my feet in extremely hot water. It eliminated the horrible, horrible cold sweats I was experiencing.

Withdrawing is not fun at all. Depending on how bad you're habit was, the worse subsides in about a few days. I was doing 150mg Oxycodone a day for almost a year, and before that another year of daily Opiate use. Just hang in there, and stay positive! Try to smoke some buddha to relax. The hardest part is staying focused on staying clean. It will pass, just hang in there!

Hey will430, I'm gonna move this over to Other Drugs as the content fits that forum better.

Best of luck, and feel better <3

HL -----> OD

You werent doing a whole lot of oxy and with all those drugs it shouldnt be hard at all. I would go as far as to say it would be a cake walk. Just dont keep taking all that stuff though. Especially after a week or so because like they said benzo withdraw is a bitch. And you need to be able to sleep on your own also. I was just in rehab with people who were hooked on ambien. Good luck man

The tramadol will do wonders for the withdrawals by itself, and it has an exceptionally long half-life making it a valuable ally. The lorazepam will be useful in quelling anxiety and the like, and the zolpidem will help you sleep. Take the lorazepam and tramadol as needed, but it's important to remember how easy it will be to switch one dependency for another.

I would avoid the seroquel and remeron.

Also, you should ramp the dosage of tramadol up slowly in 50mg increments until you reach the desired dosage, it can cut out a lot of undesirable side effects and they seem to work much better that way. You probably won't need to take it more than twice a day because of the long half life, though.

I went the tramadol route after taking roxies and Opana and now I cant get off Tramadol. I wouldnt go that route if I were you.

Tramadol did not come CLOSE to getting me off sick when I was in oxycodone withdrawal... maybe I was unlucky though.

Thanks for all the support and replies guys, im actually doing pretty well with just 100mg of tramadol, ativan twice a day, and ambien at night to sleep. Tramadol is probably just placebo for most people. Because it barely cuts the icing off the top of the W/D's. : ( And no the oxycodone is no longer prescribed. I just been having the cravings lately. And hopefully it will pass as im starting college in four days. And i'd like to be clean off of hard opiate so i can actually get somewhere in my life. Thanks again guys, this forum kicks ass.

how long have you been on opiates for?

I agree. I used to inundate myself with benzos, sedative antihistamines, etc to try to make w/d easier. But after going through it so many times, I concluded that it's just better to get through it with minimal medication. Piling on additional psychotropic medications to ease the symptoms of opioid w/d simply drags out the process IME. Exercise, nutrition/hydration, and rest are critical and allow your body and mind to restore balance and achieve homeostasis.

Use the lorazepam for anxiety you may experience, and maybe take the zolpidem at night to sleep if you need it.

I would avoid the seroquel

Why so? I would take anything to ease the insomia, as zolpidem nor benzos do absolutely nothing for me sleepwise. Even the seroquel barely helps me, the insomnia is insane.

Go sit in a sauna and sweat.

In my opion you should do this only if you can also stay in the sauna till the withdrawls are all over.:D

It actually feels fantastic to go into a sauna when WD'ing. It eases the symptoms like nothing else. But the downside is, at least for me, that after you leave the sauna the oversensitivity to cold temperature and sweating etc. come back even worse. The following night is agony even though the temptation for short relief in sauna is great.

edit. Instead take long hot showers and after you start to feel comfortable enough, switch the water temperature to cold (horrifying thought to do so while WD'ing, i know), and alternate between the temperatures. I find this helps more than taking only hot shower.

Kratom + loperamide should greatly reduce your WD's. Try it for a week or so, and then use my phenibut/GABA method to withdraw from kratom.

See here: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/threads/540581-The-Kratom-Thread?p=10201928&viewfull=1#post10201928

This method will reduce your kratom withdrawal by about 95%, and it'll allow you to go to work regularly without suffering from WD's while at work. Its a true, tried and tested method:

Step 1. Try to taper down your kratom use to 2-4 grams twice or 3 times daily (I'm talking about the powder, not extract)

Step 2. Take your last 2-4 grams of powder after dinner, so around 7 or 8 PM. This will ensure a decent night sleep.

Step 3. Your WD's should start next day around noon to afternoon. As soon as you feel them coming on take the following: 1x250 mg Phenibut + 1x500 mg GABA.

Step 4. You need to take those 2 capsules every 2 to 3 hours during the first 3 worst days of your withdrawal. After 3 days you can taper it off to maybe taking them every 4 to 6 hours.

Step 5. You can also take loperamide if you get loose stool or diarrhea

And that is that, your WD's should only last 5 to 6 days at the most and you will barely feel a damn thing.

For some reason phenibut in combination with GABA works amazingly well, as opposed to phenibut alone. I believe the GABA takes care of the body WD's, and phenibut takes care of brain WD's since it does cross the BB barrier while GABA doesnt.

Then use this method to withdraw from funnybutt: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/threads/603750-How-to-Eliminate-Phenibut-Withdrawals

To withdraw from phenibut with ease all you have to do is take 500 mg of GABA every 2 to 3 hours the first day, and 2nd day 500 mg again every 4 to 6 hrs. And the 3rd day as needed whenever you feel WD's still lingering a bit.

This completely takes care of the funnybutt WD's

There are hundreds of threads detailing various methods of the 'best' way to get thru opiate withdrawal. We even have a mega thread dedicated to it, which you can find via the search engine.

But lemme just say something. While comfort meds are nice, in my experience they just prolong sobriety and 9/10 times when I try to detox using benzos and whatnot I just end up eating them like candy, doing stupid shit, and relapsing.

I have gone thru withdrawals numerous times, and honestly, the only few times where I got thru them the easiest and was able to stay clean for a bit was when I had to kick in jail. I'm dead serious. Opiate withdrawals are VERY seriously effected by your mental state going into it, and during the detox. Everytime I have kicked in jail, it hasn't been pleasant, don't get me wrong. But your mind KNOWS you can't get any dope, pills, comfort meds, or anything. It just accepts it and that is the key to gettign thru it with ease.

In jail, my mind knows the game is over, and after 3 or so days I'll start feeling better and by day 4 or 5 i'll be eating normal and probably 90 percent back to normal.

It sounds fucked up I am sure, but I am totally serious with what I say. Now I DON'T recommend getting yourself into trouble/going to jail so you can detox, lol, but I was just trying to illustrate the point that many symptoms of opiate withdrawal are psychosomatic.

I gotta run but I can type more later if you have any specific questions about withdrawals; I also have vast experience with all of the 'comfort meds' you listed. Feel free to ][D r I v A t E message me as well if you need anything or just wanna chat about withrawing. Just stay stroing man, you'll be fine. Luckily you aren't on a very high dose of oxycodone so it shouldn't even be quite as bad as you may think.

Good luck brother!

Thanks so much! I'm tired of spending the money now that i don't have a script. It's affecting me to the point where family and friends are starting to take notice. I've been a recreational user of pain meds before joining the army. Stay 100% clean for 3 years and 3 months. Now i've been outta the service since Sep 2011. Moved back home and feel into the same shit. Same dopehead friends, everything. I'm going to get through this shit. I love being cold, waking up sweating, and generally being a irritable prick to everyone around me for no reason. And i start college tomorrow. Life is always going to be a fight for me no matter where im at in life. And this is just another battle I've chosen. I will get through this and i'll keep everyone updated. The support here is awesome and so are the suggestions.
