Help With Opiod Hangover

Hi there,

I'm the occasional opiate user. For example, I'll indulge once every so often when I come across something but I don't ever take them more than once in a 72 hour period in order to avoid w/d. In other words, I'll wait at least 3 days in between ingesting some. However, when I do partake, I usually make it worth it, like my most recent occasion of taking four 30mg morphine pills over the course of a few hours. The problem is, even though it's only one day of taking them, I still experience a "comedown"; the next 3 or so days of not feeling so well...not full blown w/d or anything, just feeling sorta bad physically and mentally. My question is, does anyone have any suggestions about how to make that comedown less of a comedown. For example, I can get my hands on a buprenorphine (suboxone) tablet. I'm not sure of the dose of the tablet but it's pretty powerful; just breaking off like 1/10th of the tablet and taking it sublingually will have an effect on me. I've used the bupers in the past recreationally but I'm wondering if there is some small dose taken at the just the right time in the comedown cycle that will take the edge off of an opiate comedown. I realize that buprenorphine is also an opiate and so I know that one must be careful with them. Anyone have any experience with this kind of thing?

Theres not supposed to be any comedown with opiods. Have you been using them for a long time? This kinda thing has started happening to me with opioids, I was using them regularly, then they just stopped working for and left me depressed for dyas. I think you should take a LONG break. At least a few months. Someone offered me this advice, but I decided to take opioids about a month later and ended up feeling like crap for week.I've decided to leave it about a year before I try them again.

I am a recovering heroin addict, and have stayed clean for about a year with a couple relapses... after each relapse, which was only a one time thing every time... I will be depressed for about 2-3 days and just feel off mentally and physically like you said.... I think there is nothing to really combat this, unless you want to go on a coke/ meth run for a couple days after the opiate use, but still, you're gonna have to come down..... If you realllllly must use I think you just gotta man up and face to consequences... for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Stay safe.
