Help with Fentanyl Lolipops!!

I just got a couple 600mcg Fentanyl Lolipops. They're Actiq brand. I've got a medium opiate tolerance and need like 40mg of OxyContin snorted to really get off. So...is 600mcg too big of a dose or what? If it's too much, how much should I take and can I just lick a little and not get all the Fentanyl?? Any help whatsoever is greatly appreciated! Thanks...
 
At your tolerance level, I'm guessing you'd need around 100 micrograms/hour. So that lollipop should stretch four around 6 hours.
Luckily, it's distributed throughout the lollipop, and absorbs pretty quick, so the best thing to do is just start sucking on it until you feel high enough, then stop. :)
Actually, I think you should definitely send some to me for, uh, testing -- I'll run some, um, detailed tests, just to make sure it's safe....
 
Yeah, my cousin told me about these and I told her that she was an idiot. Then when I looked up Actiq, sure enough, it comes in lolipops. I'm trying to get one from her, but she's about 2 hours away.
 
The best way to do them is sublinqual- put it under your tongue. Careful! Fentynal is not something to screw around with. Start slow- leave it there for a little, take it out, see how you feel after a couple of minutes. The drug is in a uniform distribution throughout the lollipop. I knew a guy that did a lot of the initial legal work for the company that developed these- pretty amazing creation. They work FAST- they're designed for acute pain management. So, again, be careful. You can get a lethal dose very, very quickly through these.

These sound like a lawsuit waiting to happen...I can just imagine what would happen if somehow a small child got ahold of one. I seem to recall that they are fruit flavored. Maybe rasberry?
 
If he needs aproximately 1/6 per hour then why doesn't he break it up into 6 peices and suck on the little peices like hard candy, until they dissolve, instead of keep putting the big lollipop in and out, and making it sticky and gross.
 
ahh definately one chemical on my to try list. i WOULD LOVE actiq fentanyl pops. that would just be the greatest. i dunno tho being the dosage needs to be SO carefully measured...

Because 1/6th RIGHT AWAY may still be enough to KILL him... 1/6th/hour is not the same as 1/6th in 5 seconds... Besides, they come with a cap- not wrapped in plastic like regular lollipops. Stick it under the tongue, take it out put the top back on

Well I've had pretty good results so far. I said the hell with it and just popped one in my mouth until I started feeling it. They do hit REALLY quick, like as fast as snorting perhaps. I was really surprised though, I was laying down with it in my mouth and before I knew it, the thing was gone. It all dissolved over the course of a couple minutes. Oh well, I came nowhere remotely close to an overdose. It felt damn nice though. They're pretty tiny and rasberry flavored. Mine dont have caps though. Each pop comes individually wrapped in a pretty big plastic envelope thingy. Kinda like what they wrap glowsticks in, only bigger. Anywho, good stuff!
 
Damn... are you sure it was 600 ug??? I would have thought that would have been way too much, shit.
 
Um.. these are MADE for children, and while "600ug" seems as though it would be enough to drop a large animal, for some reason, it's not that great and these do not commend the street price - it's more of a novelty item (bring the handle to a rave and stick a blow pop in it, you will be the envy of everyone!
But yeah, if you suck these it's usually kinda weak, so break it up then divid it into equal parts - start off with a small dose, chew it up, and you will know within a fairly short period of time if it's enough .. for some reason, while a 100ug/hr patch will do me good, 100ug of the lollipop doesn't rub me the same way - I dunna if it's not the same type of fentanyl or what... I prefer to chew it into tiny pieces, then let it sit in a pool under my tounge for a minute then swallow ..
Like I said, these were MADE for children, and a 600ug pop isn't going ot overdose you, enjoy!

I have noticed the same thing with hydrocod/apap tabs vs hydrocod/apap elixir. If I take the same mg dose with both, the tabs give me a much better feeling than the elixir. I have no idea why this is. The dosage is the same, and if anything, I would think that the elixir would be stronger, as it is already in liquid form. Tussionex, however, still works VERY well!

I dug up the wrapper and had a full 400ug with my last Actiq - consumed the entire thing at once and didn't think it produced the same high as a 100ug/hr patch.. I can't explain it, and it seems it's the same drug - who knows?

Maybe it has to do with the way the active drug is formulated? The elixir and tablets were even from the same manufacturer (mallinkrodt sp?).

Actually, they weren't. They're for acute pain in lots of patients... for augmenting regular pain management (patches, pills, shots). They make them in all sorts of doses- some are pretty huge (can't remember exactly so I won't guess but it was in the 1,000+ ug range).
It may have something to do with how the fentanyl is tied up in the lollipop- I know it works best (supposed to) sublinqually- so you're not supposed to swallow them- let them dissolve under your tongue. Effective does may differ from patches due to the route administered- out of my league...

The lollipops are most often handed out to children with chronic pain conditions - cancer and whatnot, often in hospitals, but yes, adults get them too.. basically they are for those that have a hard time with pills or those that are not crazy about taking pills, it's also a fast means for delievering pain medicine and it's popular to give these for breakthrough pain - there is like a "package" that includes a little plastic container you can store a lollipop in so if you suck it, get relief, you can put it back and save it for later.. yes, they go all the way up to 1600ug (I believe) - a dose that is certinly not for most kids, but remember, there are kids with legit pain that take more narcotics in a day then some of us hardcore junkies take in a month, so a 1600ug lollipop isnt out of the question for a kid that pulled a pot of boiling oil off the stove on himself .. it's a novel way to deliever pain medicine ..
I don't have a scanner but if I get a chance I will scan in the wrapepr/bag/pouch (that the lollipop comes in, a foil packet for it) .. there is also info on the handle ..
I have only come across them a few times, and each time the seller wanted some outrageous price because it was such a novel drug - yeah, you may have 1600ug of fentanyl but that isn't worth $50!
[EDIT - found a wealth of information... Actiq is for breakthrough pain only, not for maintaince - they recomend a long term narcotics delievery system for that (big surprise) .. this isn't actually targeted for children, however, it has been remarked as being horribly successfull .. the deliever system is unique, and I was wrong - chewing and eating kinda diminishes the euphoria, so you're best off sucking it really hard, kill it in a few minutes I guess.. if anyone has specific questions I can answer them as my members-only medical database has an entire section on Actiq, even have some flash animations.. nifty shit!]
