Help with combo to taper opiates

Hello, I'm trying to taper and come off a habit of 10-12 lortabs a day roughly. I've got a variety of meds available. I am wondering if anyone can offer me advice with these medications to drop my lortab down to maybe 10mg-15mg with a combo or even lower.

Meds

1.Codeine Cough Syrup Codeine 10mg promethazine 7.5mg
2. clonodine .1mg catapres patches
3. .5mg xanax (aplrazolam)
4. Norco 10mg/325
5. Immodium liquid
6. epsom salt
7. alieve
8. vicoprofen 7.5mg/200
9. adderall salt 20mg IR
10. Ritalin 20mg IR

I'm in no danger of running out of the above medications. I'm sure I have several other things around here. I never mix drugs so i'm unsure what combinations would be beneficial/SAFE for me to take in combination w/ lortab or w/out lortab to make getting off the easiest. I would prefer to taper with the above meds. Also after my last 30mg dose of lortab when would putting the clonodine patch on be safe? Thanks!

I wanted to add I have suboxone as well. Film and have about 10 8mg strips. I know from my last experience after maintenance that suboxone withdrawal last a very very very long time. Would this be the case if I did a rapid 7 day taper or something?

Not a pro at all but I got addicted to ambien when my brother died 3 years ago and was hooked for a year.. Could not sleep at all without it... Be careful is all I can offer with the ambien... I would not use it for any longer then 7-10 days...

Good luck man

Thanks for the heads up bro. I'll be cautious with it. Sorry to hear about your brother. I lost my grandfather about the same time. I had a really hard time coping with it. Couldn't sleep at all either. Anyways thanks again man. Take it easy.

That's quite the toolbox you've got there, tham1288!

Have you tried to taper down before? How did it go?

It's good to know how you as an individual are effected by the withdrawals so you can make a custom plan based on your experience.

Opioid/opiate WDs are nasty. You can take stuff to help, but have to acknowledge that there's going to be some discomfort during the process. It can be a dangerous mindset to plan ahead too much and introduce too many substances which are addictive in their own right, in an attempt to cover up any and all discomfort.

If you have time and supplies, the best thing you could do is just taper at a pace which you can manage, and then treat related symptoms as they come up.

Good luck!

Wait so do you get three different preparations of hydrocodone? You say you want to come off the lortab, but have norco and vicoprofen available?

If you want to get down to 15mg, not completely off, have them available just try tapering down with the hydro. If you want totally off do a rapid suboxone taper. Try using clonidine or (very sparingly) one of the benzos to ease sweats, chills, rls, and insomnia. If you get the shits take immodium, if you puke take a dose of the syrup that has prometh in it.

All in all it shouldn't be too bad. How many mgs are you taking a day?

When my Oxycodone habit reach 90-100mg Instant Release in a single dose per day I reduced my intake by 10mg/day till I reached 20mg. Then I started taking 10-20mg Controlled Release twice daily dependent on pain levels, which I'm still doing as I need it for relief. This taper worked really well as it prevented any physical withdrawals (fever, stomach cramps, sore throat/runny nose, leg pain, aching joints, etc), but mentally I still craved the euphoric, warm feeling of the seductive opioid. I no longer get any recreational effect but surprisingly enough this relatively small dose all but controls my pain despite my recent heavy abuse. If I didn't need it for pain relief I would have continued my taper from 20mg IR to, twice daily 10mg CR, to once daily 10mg CR to 5mg IR then nothing.

Hello, I have not tried kratom. I've heard of it. How safe is it? Whats it feel like? Yes I had 4 vicoprofen which was from something else and my prescription is to norco. I don't doctor shop and never had. I've always had 1 prescription from 1 doctor. Overall i'm taking 30mg 3x day/24 hours. Thanks for the insight toobent. I have had trouble with tapering as most have said it is hard. How long do I need to wait to put on my clonodine from my last dose? I got 2 new medications to help with my withdrawal. Atarax and ostdanteron (not sure if I spelled it correctly but is nausea med).

I heard atarax is a good potentate of opiates. I'm wondering if I could take that with 1 10mg norco and potentate it enough to be able to reduce my tolerance quickly.

So if I did a rapid detox with suboxone will 1 week be long enough to get me through withdrawal and then stopping that I shouldn't have withdrawal symptoms or will I have to detox from that?
