Help with abilify please

Hello, my psychiatrist insists that I continue taking 2mg of Abilify in conjunction with 50mg of zoloft for my depression and bipolar disorder. I realize that 2mg is an extremely low dose, but then why do I feel so out of it on this drug? I've been taking it for 2 weeks now and have been needing to drink massive amounts of coffee and take amphetamines several times a day just to process simple pieces of information. How long will this feeling of stupidity last? It's not healthy for me to have to take the amount of stimulants that I have to but I don't want to give up on the Abilify which does seem to be helping somewhat.
 
Eliminate the self-prescribed amps so that your medication can work as its supposed to. You're adding a variable into the equation that shouldn't be there.

We tend to get impatient in waiting for our meds to do their thing. Ride it out for a couple of weeks and see if you balance out without the Stims. If you still feel off, convey this information to your doctor and make sure you disclose any recreational drugs that you've been using on top of your prescribed meds
 
you need to talk to your psychiatrist. and be honest with him about your stimulant use and the issues you are experiencing.

i need to close this thread, as leaving it open would be contrary to harm reduction.
