OK so i just took 300mg of codeine andiam having the biggest itchi allergy and my face is all red...how dangerous is this.
ive done codeine in these doses before with T3 and i never got an allergy this bad not even close.
This time i took pure codeine to a total of 300mg and iamfeeling soo itchy and my face is red and slighty puffy.
Can i die from this,what should i do ??

Take a Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or some promethazine....or another first-generation antihistamine...whatever the recommended dose for allergies is on the bottle.

If a regular dose of an antihistamine doesn't reduce the symptoms, you should probably seek medical advice.

well i could understand the itching, but idk bout that red face shit.
I've heard of people getting rashes and shit from codiene though.

The rash and itching is mostly harmless for most people, unless it gets so severe your airway closes (which is unlikely). Codeine basically induces a chemical allergic reaction in almost everyone because it releases histamine and is not a particularly effective opioid in terms of dose. This histamine release is why many codeine derivative drugs are not injected, for fear of respiratory collapse. It also plays a role in the "rush" of classic and semi-synthetic opioid drugs that the "full synthetics" lack, as well as stimulation, itchiness and flushing.

Make a note of the dose you reacted badly to, and don't do codeine doses that high... Take an antihistamine and it should help.

Never understood the whole "QUICK HELP!?? Plz!!" addition to a title. If you are that worried than you should immediately go to the hospital or call 911 because we can't administer CPR or vital drugs to safe your life through the Internet . This isn't an online ER, no one should get priority...

^^ I don't think it's life-threatening or anything. It happens when you use codeine too much and your body starts kicking up a fuss. It's just really uncomfortable. I once had it so bad I scratched the skin off my chest.

Benadryl should help with the itch. It is notorious for that.

If you feel fullness in your throat or it's harder to breath then you may not want to take it any more. These are signs of an allergic reaction. Get medical help.

If its just itch and nothing else take Benadryl.

Kids these days, eh? Think they can do EVERYTHING online:p

But seriously, this is a good point, pbuilder.

man i rememebr this day...i was fuckeeed up...how can it be i didnt get something like this from T3's but from pure codeine ( 15mg) pills it gave me a crazy alleregic reaction...

Sounds like the reaction that I get when I take to much, at higher doses the side effects outweigh any euphoria that I wanted to experience. A huge histamine reaction seems to take over and detract from the high that I intended to experience. I always get a red face and massively uncomfortable amount of itching, I read somewhere that if you take more than your liver can process at one time the histamine reaction seems to intensify by a great magnitude which I would agree with...could be bullshit though as there were no sources provided, the dose that is described as the ceiling dose for the effects of codeine is 400mgs but I believe this can differ greatly between individuals seeing as how we all have a variable amount of the liver enzymes needed for processing codeine into morphine which would change the amount of codeine needed between individuals needed to have the same effect even without any tolerance.

Anyways, I wouldn't worry as Sekio said because it appears to be pretty standard with Codeine. This reaction seems pretty intense and I can see why you are worried, but histamine release is just an effect of Opiates/Opoids in general which is also responsible for allergic reactions. If you are actually allergic to codeine you would have had much more severe and possibly life threatening symptoms such as your throat swelling up, you said you have abused codeine before and that has never happened so I wouldn't worry about it.

I just saw your last post, something you ingested could have effected the enzymes in your liver allowing the codeine to be more efficiently processed equaling a much more intense effect from the same dose; alternatively it could have been something like an empty stomach or maybe alcohol in your system at the time. (alcohol allows for a much faster onset of the codeine causing the codeine to take effect much more rapidly intensifying the histamine reaction)
