Did MDMA properly for the first time last week. Did a small amount on Monday and felt fine but then on Thursday I dropped about 350 mg in less than an hour and had a very bad high. Foolishly I went out and did it again the next day but only about 150mg.

Ever since I have been feeling horrible, blurry vision, lack of appetite, achey legs, general anxiety problems including panic attacks. These arn't helped by the fact I've just moved back in with my mum and dad who I obviously can't confess to. I feel like there's no escape and that I've done permanent damage, everytime I think I see an improvement I just experience the anxiety again and revert back to how I was.

I'm just looking for some reassurance really that this will pass, or is there a chance I've done permanent damage?

FYI I'm 22

Worry not, it will pass. Stay away from MDMA/stimulants/any drug if possible for a couple weeks and see how you feel.
Binges of MDMA make you feel like a bag of shit, take this from a foolish festival goer who has done two grams of MDMA to himself in 3 nights

Yeah, definitely did WAY too much WAY to close together, best to keep 'trips' to a 1-3 month interval's.
You have done alot of short term damage to your brain and body, but it WILL get better, you're going to have make sure you stay away from any drugs for the next few weeks, try and eat healthy, no fatty greasy foods, try and get some sun or exercise in the next couple days, and try some vitamins or supplements to help, and try and stay busy on something, to keep your mind off of the negative thoughts.
You will get better and feel normal eventually, but might take up to a couple days to even a week or two.
Just keep thinking that it WILL get better and try and think of positive things.
As far as your parents, tell them you feel you've come down with a touch of fever or a stomach thing, and you feel under the weather, that might help explain some of your scatterness, and lethargy. That way they just think you're a little under the weather, but don't play that more than a couple days, or they'll probably want you to see a Doc...:)
Hang in there and just keep positive, you've done no permenant damage, and it will get better!

You might feel odd for a while but it will eventually go away. There are plenty of threads about what you are going through, check out the comedown mega thread.

I hope you learned your lesson to test and space out your rolls.

An extremely minuscule chance. Your experiencing a comedown. When you were necking 350mg did you give any thought whatsoever that you might feel like shit afterwords?

Remain positive, it will finish within time. Get out and exercise till your out of breath and sweating, eat well and make sure you get proper sleep. Benzo's can help with this but don't over do them.

This forum is littered with people with no previous posts freaking out because they are having a comedown. they don't last forever and the worst ting you can do it stay inside, mulling over how bad your feeling. Reading some of the horror stories on here could raise your anxiety, so get outside and live your life force your self to execise.

Please come back here in 2 weeks and inform us if your still suffering.

You'll be just fine man, everything stated above should have you back in tip-top shape in just a few weeks. Hopefully a lesson learned to be more gentle with your doses and with your body.

Aside from OP's concerns, why are newbies taking so fucking much these days? Sure, in my honeymoon phase I had a few nights where I took way more than necessary, but I worked my way up to that. I couldn't imagine taking 500 mg of legitimate MDMA over a 24 hr period...

Wise advice, but don't scare the guy haha.
He hasn't done any damage to his brain, just thrown his hormone levels a little out of whack and is experiencing a comedown from a binge. And yea preferably MDMA shouldn't be done more than once a month if you're wanting to be safe.
In low amounts it isn't neurotoxic but start to go on binges and your serotonin receptors can begin to get flooded with serotonin and die off.
This is what I was always lead to believe, if this is incorrect or an over simplification someone please correct me

Thanks guys, that's made me feel much better about the situation. One other question is about 5htp, I've bought some but have heard mixed reviews. I'm not having problems sleeping I'm just suffering from intense moments of anxiety and panic, aswell as what I think is depression. Will 5htp help with this or shall I avoid and go for a natural recovery?

no imsomnia? man!! you are in the lucky ones group! that is a very very good simpton :) keep relaxed! some people have bad reaction to 5htp also....another ones get better, i wouldnt try..in case..

I wouldn't try 5htp.
In fact self diagnosing yourself with meds, whether they are pharmaceutical or natural, to help combat possible mental disorders is never a good idea.
Give the drugs a break, force yourself to get out more and if you don't already, find some good non drug related hobbies to help combat bad moods.
For me when I'm having severe depressive symptoms (inducing thoughts of suicide/self harm) I find it is only exacerbated to the extreme when I have to much time on my hands to think up reasons why I should hate myself.

It'll pass. Just give yourself AT LEAST 6 months before doing it again (if you plan) and then 1-3 months inbetween sessions.

5-HTP is a good option because it can help replenish serotonin when your body cannot through it's usual natural mechanisms, such as post MDMA. Nobody has a 'bad reaction' to 5-HTP, this is bull shit. 5-HTP is in our bodies all the time, it's part of a natural metabolic process, thus to suggest a negative reaction is probably fuelled by the anxiety you experience, and not 5-HTP. The only plausible negative effect you may experience is some gastrointestinal discomfort (wind, bloating etc.), but that's still unlikely.

I'd recommend 100mg 5-HTP (quite often two capsules of 50mg), some good aerobic exercise (jogging, cycling, rowing etc.) and then meeting up with some good friends and doing something fun.

Yeah, going out with friends and doing something fun, or even something that might seem 'lame' at the time, like bowling, fishing, hiking, go to a ball game or a 'football' match (depending where you're from), but once you're out and doing something and then you spend time away from home, you will feel SO much better afterwards!!!! It's just forcing yourself to get out, but once you do, you will see what I mean, you'll be like 'man let's go do something tomorrow!' Sometimes natural highs are the best.... They release the same stuff that make you feel good, just not as fast...;)

NOBODY? Not even the people who combined it with a number of other serotonin-acting drugs and were faced with Sertonin Syndrome because of it? How about the few BLers who tried 5-HTP post-recovery and found it not only did NOT help them, but actually brought back old symptoms that were long gone? The people who take it and had their MDMA rolls almost completely dulled?

5-HTP can be a great drug for some, but to say it's NEVER caused ANY negative symptoms is a bit of a stretch. 5-HTP is in our BRAINS naturally, not our body. It is only found past the BBB in nature.. so, when you take it orally it enters new places it was not designed to be in, and only the small (less than 20% iirc) amount that can cross the Brain Blood Barrier is effective. The rest floats around the blood and has to be filtered out by the kidneys. If it weren't for that, 5-HTP would have a lot more support from me.

Folley, you are 100% correct. I wont tell anyone to NOT use 5-htp but I will say that it does not help everyone.

For me, it made me feel worse.

I am of the opinion that drugs caused the chemical imbalance, taking more drugs wont fix you unless your brain has permanent changes. You wont know if your brain has permanent changes unless you wait it out soberly for at least 6 months.

If you don't feel better after 6-12 months, that is when you should investigate the possibility of anti-depressants or other drugs under medical supervision.
